It is 2017 and the Church has been attacked by another round of Biblically unstable false doctrine date-setters. Some people who do not know or understand the Bible or Bible prophecy have dreamed up another "date" for the rapture. A few of the wolves and false teachers are Scott Clarke, Steve Cioccolanti, David Mead, and others who are pushing this ficticious date of the rapture on utube and social media etc. Sadly, they have gathered many blind and gullible followers who also are proclaiming this false sign in the heavens. These deceivers will be exposed to everyone on Sept 24, 2017 after the rapture does not happen on Sept 23, 2017.
Here is their claim... they claim that the stars in Rev 12 will line up in the skies to prove certain things related the rapture occurring. They claim the man-child in Rev 12 is the Church and when he is taken to heaven, that will be the rapture of the Church. All this will happen on Sept 23, the day this false sign is supposed to come to pass. Some also dare to claim the 7 year time of Jacobs trouble will start on Sept 24, just after the rapture on the 23rd. Scott goes as far to teach that on the first pentacost after the Lord Jesus went to heaven, the Church was not born. Instead this wolf teaches that the Church was conceived and has been in gestation (in the womb) until it is born in Rev 12 after approx 2000 years. Of course this will happen on Sept 23. This is complete foolish and false doctrine. Yet many who do not know the Bible have bit into the apple of his false teaching and believe it with all their hearts.
If these false teachers knew the Bible they would understand that the lady with the 12 stars is Israel. The child is born and caught up to heaven and He will rule and reign. He is the Lord Jesus who was born through the lady, Israel. They claim instead that the child that gets taken up to heaven is the Church and that will be the rapture which will occur on Sept 23, 2017. This cannot be as the Church is female and is the bride of Christ. But these wolves reject proper understanding of the Bible and have created this false sign to prove their date-setting. Sadly, many have been deceived by this foolishness and just follow onward with their brains turned off.
Matthew 24:
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
All the date setters make the foolish claims that this verse does not actually mean what it says. Instead they claim due to cultural differences etc., it means it is true for most, but the elect will be able to figure out the date just by looking at clues. Today these false teaching date setters are claiming that the false sign of Rev 12 is the time that the elect would know about and we will not be surprised at the rapture as we can know the exact day and that day is Sept 23, 2017.
They just push that deception again again in different flavors and come up with a date that they "know" will be the rapture. Sadly, many unlearned and Biblically illiterate buy into their deception and cheer for the set date for the rapture. This is done right up until it just does not happen on that day. Date-setters are always wrong and the deceived ones always get hurt. The rapture is an imminent prophetic event and no one knows the actual day it will occur. The verse above means exactly what it says. No one can know the date!
Matthew 24:
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
The scripture twisters stop there and ignore all the other verses that apply. When one looks at more verses a different and proper understanding is possible. Truly we are told we cannot know the day or the hour but also we are told to watch and be ready. Here is a collection of verses that show a different picture from the scripture twisting date-setters:
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing (Matthew 24:42-46 KJV).
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh (Matthew 25:13).
And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power(Acts 1:7).
Take ye heed, watch and pray; for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the Master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly He find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch (Mark 13:33-37).
So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor 1:7).
And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come (1 Thess 1:10).
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober (1 Thess 5:6).
Looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus (Titus 2:13).
So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation (Heb 9:28).
Let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the Day approaching (Heb 10:24-25).
But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer (1 Peter 4:7).
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus (Rev 22:20).
As you can see from the above, if we could know the exact date then there would be no need to watch, wait, and keep looking. The verses above would no longer apply. One could just eat, drink, be merry, and sin until the exact date gets here. But since we cannot know the date of the rapture, we keep watching and are ready for the coming of the Lord Jesus. Whenever He comes, we have great motivation to remain faithful while watching and waiting. Waiting for that unknown day also helps keep our walk pure. We are encouraged to keep faithful as any day the Lord Jesus could return in the rapture. No one wants to "fall" then all of a sudden be caught off-guard by the rapture.
So these scripture twisting date-setters are doing a great disservice to Christians by setting their false "date" and removing the imminent coming of the Lord Jesus. This false date-setting also removes the need to watch and faithfully wait for the Lord while living a pure life.
I would expect this to happen after the date setters are again wrong on Sept 23 and nothing happens. They will just revise their calculations and spit out a new date. It is very sad but many will continue to follow their false teaching and start to proclaim the new false date.
Another result is some people who are weak on Bible knowledge and are deceived by scripture twisting date setters get greatly discouraged. They were convinced that the rapture would happen on the date-setters date and then nothing happened. Some will just give up and reject all Bible prophecy after being hurt by the false teaching date setters.
Here is an example. Remember the story about the boy who cried wolf? He was tending sheep and went into town crying 'wolf' several times. He had a good laugh about everyones paniced reaction. After doing it several times, a wolf really came to attack the sheep. He again called out 'wolf' in the town. However, this time no one listened to him as he had lost all credibility. The same is true with these deceiving date setters. The fact is the Lord Jesus is coming soon to rapture home His Church. But all the false "sure thing" dates presented is just conditioning many to ignore the fact of the soon return of the Lord Jesus.
I would say this foolish date setting is an attack on the Lord Jesus, Christians, and the Bible by these scripture twisting, false teaching deceivers.
Rev:12 1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
We start with a great wonder. A woman appears. Notice on her head she has a crown of 12 stars. The 12 stars are the 12 descendants of Abraham and the woman is Israel. The 12 stars are the 12 tribes of Israel. The sun and moon reference Abraham and his wife.
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
Now the woman is described as being pregnant with a child and close to child birth. The woman is Israel and the child she is about to give birth to is the Lord Jesus. This totally eliminates the woman as being the Church. Also the Church is NOT and never has been pregnant.
3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
Verse 3,4 briefly describe the fall of satan and shows his anger at the birth of the man child, the Lord Jesus.
5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
As one can see the woman gives birth to a man-child. To further confirm that the man child is the Lord Jesus we are told that He will be the one to rule all nations with a rod of iron. Being caught up to heaven also happened and is recorded in the first chapter of Acts.
We really don't need to go any further into Rev 12 to see these scripture twisting deceivers have totally mangled the Bible. As you can see Rev 12 is a prophetic story and is really very simple to understand.
2 Timothy 4:3
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
We are in the last days before the return of the Lord Jesus. As one can see by this deception that the date-setters are busy twisting scripture and deceiving folks. Sadly, many will listen to their lies and suffer hurt and discouragement.
I would hope on Sept 24 after no rapture occurs on Sept 23, that those deceived would realize their error and embrace a proper understanding of Bible prophecy. This means when the date-setters make up another date, many will ignore their false date setting. I say that as a fact as the deceivers will set another date where they 'know' the rapture will occur. Just ignore and dismiss all their foolish date-setting theories and mathematical models.
I also have to say thanks to other teachers and preachers in the Body of Christ who have also raised their voices to warn of this horrible scripture twisting and false doctrine presented to and believed by many. Sadly, a few but not many have dared to speak out
Finally in light of all this if you are not yet a Christian, it is now time to receive the Lord Jesus as your Saviour. Salvation is totally free and can be received by a repentent heart. Listen as:
If you want to be saved and be with the Lord Jesus say the following and mean it with all your heart.
Lord Jesus,
I admit that I am a sinner. I realize that sin has a penalty of separation from God and an eternity in the lake of fire. Right now I turn from my sins and receive the Lord Jesus as my only Saviour. Lord Jesus come into my heart and life and save me. I trust in you alone for salvation and to be my Lord and my Saviour. Amen
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
