CONCLUSION

I hope you have been blessed coming with me to the crossroads. I enjoy serving my Lord and Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. I meet all kinds of people, as you can see, on the broad road. It is encouraging to see some turn from the broad road and enter the narrow gate in Jesus and head up the narrow path to heaven. Unfortunately not many wish to be saved but the good news is that some do. I still do not understand why people refuse to leave the broad road which will end in their destruction. They have no concern for the lost eternity that stands before them. All that matters is the temporary cares and pleasures of this world. Time in this world goes by so fast and people don't realize that at any moment they could die and face eternity. At death they have made their decision for eternity. Either they have accepted Jesus or they have rejected Him. To do nothing is the same as rejecting Jesus. There is a day when we all will stand before God and be judged. The Bible says:

Heb 9:
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

We will all stand before God one day. Some will stand before Him cleansed and washed from sin by the blood of Jesus that He shed for us on the cross. Others who rejected Jesus will stand before Jesus with no covering for their sin. Those sins must be punished. Since they rejected the Saviour they are saying to God: I'll pay for my sins myself. The penalty for sin is an eternity in the lake of fire apart from any fellowship with God. It is an infinite price a person must pay. In fact that is the price that Jesus paid for us on the cross. God does not want people to go to hell but rather to be saved from that terrible place. But God will honor our freedom of choice. If a person chooses to reject Jesus then he is choosing to pay for his own sins in hell. On the other hand, if a person chooses to accept God's salvation in Jesus then the Saviour has already paid the penalty for sin for that person. Either way the sins before God must be paid for. We can pay for them ourselves or we can allow the Saviour to pay for them for us. It's our choice! God has already done everything He can possibly do to keep us from going to hell. God became a man, died on the cross and purchased a place for us in heaven which He offers as a gift. What more can God do than that? Nothing, so the choice of going to heaven or hell is now squarely on our backs. We can accept or reject God's love gift of salvation. Unfortunately most people I meet at the crossroads choose to reject God's salvation.

As you finished reading this booklet I have to ask you the question? Where do you stand with Jesus? Have you accepted Jesus as your Saviour or have you rejected Him? You have to clearly make up your mind soon as it will not be long before you will stand before God. Death can come at any time and is an unwelcome guest if it comes unexpectedly. The important thing is to be ready to stand before God TODAY.

The following are several verses from God's Word, the Bible that outline God's plan of salvation. The Lord Jesus is the ONLY way a person may be saved and we cannot merit salvation by our own good works. Read through these Biblical topics and prepare to say a short prayer near the end accepting the Lord Jesus as YOUR Lord and Saviour!

THE LORD JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO GOD AND HEAVEN

John 14
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Acts 4
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Matthew 7
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Colossians 2
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

THERE ARE MANY PATHS THAT LEAD TO HELL AND DESTRUCTION

Proverbs 14
12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof [are] the ways of death.

Colossians 2
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

2 Thessalonians 1
7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

2 Thessalonians 2
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

TO RECEIVE GOD'S GIFT OF SALVATION, REPENTANCE IS NECESSARY:

Repentance is admitting you are a sinner with a willingness to turn away from a life of sin and rebellion toward God.

Isaiah 55
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Psalms 38
18 For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.

Acts 3
19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Acts 3
19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Luke 13
3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

TODAY IS THE DAY TO RECEIVE THIS GIFT FROM GOD (you are not promised tomorrow):

2 Corinthians 6
2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now [is] the accepted time; behold, now [is] the day of salvation.)

Proverbs 27
1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

1 Thessalonians 5
9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

SALVATION IS A GIFT. IT IS NOT MERITED BY GOOD WORKS:

Ephesians 2
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Titus 3
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Romans 6
23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Acts 10
43 To Him give all the prophets witness, that throught His name whosoever believeth in Him shall receive remision of sins.

YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN!

John 3
1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

HOW TO BE BORN AGAIN:

John 3
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

THE NEW BIRTH:

1 Peter 1
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

2 Corinthians 5
17 Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

John 3
36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

SALVATION IS A GIFT OFFERED TO ANYONE WHO WILL RECEIVE IT:

Romans 6
23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the GIFT of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Ephesians 2
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the GIFT of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

GOD LOVES YOU:

John 3
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 5
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John 14
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

THE LORD JESUS PAID THE PENALTY FOR SIN ON THE CROSS TO SAVE YOU FROM HELL

Isaiah 53
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 1
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, [as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation [received] by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Hebrews 10
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Romans 5
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

WHAT IS HELL LIKE?

Matthew 25
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did [it] not to one of the least of these, ye did [it] not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Revelation 14
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Revelation 20
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 21
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

DOES GOD WANT ME TO GO TO HELL?

2 Peter 3
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Isaiah 55
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Isaiah 1
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Matthew 11
28 Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

WHAT DID THE LORD JESUS DO SO I CAN MISS HELL?

Isaiah 53
5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Romans 5
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 6
23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

ONE SACRIFICE FOR SINS

The Lord Jesus Christ paid the penalty for the sins of the world on the cross. No further sacrifice is necessary and there is nothing anyone can do to add to His finished work. The Bible says:

Hebrews 1
3 ... when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Hebrews 9
24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, [which are] the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Hebrews 10
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT HEAVEN

Revelation 21
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Revelation 7
15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

SALVATION!!

ALL HAVE SINNED:

Romans 3
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Ezekiel 18
20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

SIN HAS A PENALTY:

Luke 13
3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Rom 6:
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

THE LORD JESUS PAID THE PENALTY:

Romans 5
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

YOU MUST RECEIVE THE LORD JESUS:

John 1
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:

Revelation 3
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

COME TO THE LORD JESUS AND RECEIVE THE GIFT OF FORGIVENESS AND ETERNAL LIFE

Acts 16
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

John 3
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Acts 4
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

SINNERS PRAYER

Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner and I ask You to come into my life to forgive and save me. I now receive You as my Saviour (trusting in You ALONE to save me) and my Lord (making You my Master and committing my life to You). Right now I open the door to my heart and invite you into my life. I commit my life to you as ask you to change me and make me into the kind of person YOU want me to be. Amen!

FORGIVENESS OF SIN

When a person receives the Lord Jesus as his Saviour ALL his sins (past, present, and future) are forgiven. The Bible says:

Acts 10
43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Ephesians 1
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Hebrews 10
16 This [is] the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these [is, there is] no more offering for sin.

Psalms 103
12 As far as the east is from the west, [so] far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

1 John 1
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Don't hesitate. TODAY is the day of Salvation. We are never promised tomorrow. Death can come suddenly and be an unwelcome visitor. Everyone right now, is either one heartbeat from heaven or one heartbeat from hell! Which are you? Don't be like some of the people described in this booklet to reject the truth and choose to reject God and His free love gift of salvation. If you have not as yet received the Lord Jesus as your Saviour then don't put if off! Accept Jesus today as you never know, tomorrow may be too late for you!

Make your choice now.... Do you accept or reject the Lord Jesus as YOUR Lord and Saviour???

"...choose you this day whom ye will serve;...but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord" (Josh. 24:15).

Deut 30:
19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Isa 1:
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
