SERVICE PART 3
I'm well rested and I put my things together and head to serve my Lord at the crossroads. After praying I am all set to encourage the lost and dying to turn aside from the broad road. It's a cool night so I have to dress up a bit warmer. I arrive and the broad road is very busy as usual.
The first person I meet is DALE-THE-ADULTERY-SEEKER. DALE is not overly happy in marriage. He gets involved in adultery outside the marriage bonds. He has restless feet and does not consider or respect the covenant made with God: til death do we part. DALE has also had more than one marriage. He seems to have a 5 year itch that can only be satisfied by another relationship. He attends church and even sings in the choir. One time he got angry at one church though. They actually had the nerve to kick him out of the choir for dating a women even though he was married at the time. Don't they realize the divorce is in the works and would be processed within the year! Then - magically - it will be OK to date again when the divorce comes through..
DALE: What's this you are handing out?
ANDREW: It is a invitation to leave the broad road to hell and destruction and it tells you what the Lord Jesus has done for you on the cross.
DALE: Well I go to church you know. In fact I'm getting married in just one short month! It will be my third wife!
ANDREW: Your third wife? What happened... did the other two die?
DALE: No, no.... it just didn't work out. But the girl I'm living with now is the right one for me. I feel it in my heart. God's going to bless this relationship!
ANDREW: You mean you are living with a girl in a sinful common law relationship?
DALE: Hey, don't look surprised... everyone is doing it. I'm not doing anything new. I know lots of people doing the same thing! .... Even in Church!
ANDREW: Well I'm not living in sin and trading wives like baseball cards and then calling myself a "Christian"! Neither are the people I know who are living and serving the Lord. The Bible says:
Heb 13:
4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
DALE: That's a very narrow response that I hear all the time! I've left several churches because of closed minded people like you. What gives you the right to judge me you narrow minded bigot! I'll live my life my way and I'm just as much a Christian as you are! This time I've found the right girl and God is going to bless us!
As DALE stomps away I see him crumble the invitation in his right hand and throw it to the ground in disgust. I say a quick prayer asking God to convict and save this religious hypocrite. I also pray that girls will be wise enough to stay away from such a person like this as they are everywhere in these sinful days. I sometimes wonder about some Christian girls. They reach a certain age and they just panic and marry the first 'thing' that comes along. Many times they don't keep high standards in terms of Godliness. Instead their standards are more worldly. They are more concerned about their boyfriend's job or bank account than they are about his moral life or Spiritual standing with God. Rather than wait for God's best, some Christian girls will marry a fast talking man. Divorced men are very fast talking as they have the experience. I know of one divorced man who found a woman and within 3 months of dating her, they were engaged! I might also add that divorced women on the prowl are also very fast. They are experienced in the art of man-hunting. A Christian man has to be careful as he could be ensnared by a woman who has already worked her way through one or more marriages. Divorce and remarriage is rampant in the world and in the Church. I'm single now and I've set my sights on a girl who has never been married before who loves the Lord Jesus Christ. I hope other Christian singles don't panic and lower their standards.
Matt 5:
32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
Rom 7:
2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
As I hand out invitations I notice that they are going well. People are taking them at a good pace. Some are reading them and others put them in their pockets for later reading.
The next person I meet is CHUCK-THE-MATERIAL-RICHES-WANTER. CHUCK has no concern for eternity. He wants it all NOW. CHUCK wants to be rich with no needs here on earth. He uses lying and flattery to further personal interests and material wealth. CHUCK wants to gain the riches of whole world if it is possible. He is not the least bit interested in storing up treasures in heaven. Why should he... since he doesn't even believe heaven/hell exists. Every week he goes out and buys his lottery tickets. Perhaps this will be the week for the "big one"! CHUCK is always 'wheeling and dealing' with something on the go. Some of his ideas have paid off and made him lots of money. CHUCK also wants to look successful and have people perceive him as rich. That is why he often carries a thousand dollar bill in his wallet. He loves to flash it around and talk about it to others so they will be impressed by his greatness.
CHUCK: Hi, let me have one of those papers! I'm feeling pretty good tonight! I just made lots of money trading pork-bellies!
ANDREW: Sure, here take one. It is an invitation to accept the Lord Jesus Christ who is the Saviour and the ONLY way to God.
CHUCK: Hey, I can't see God so I'm really not interested. What I'm interested is retiring early. I plan to retire at 35 with several million dollars worth of assets. Now that's reality and a good tangible goal to work toward!
ANDREW: The Bible says your eternal soul is worth more than all the riches of the world. In fact the last thing you would want to do is to gain all the riches of the world and lose your eternal soul!
Mark 8:
36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
CHUCK: I don't know about that buddy. Myself I'll take the riches any day over some eternal soul thing that I cannot feel or see! By-the-way... how much do they pay you to come down here and do this?
ANDREW: Payment? I don't get paid for this. I do it because I want to! God became a man and died on the cross and purchased a place in heaven which He offers as a gift. I repented of my sin and freely received God's free gift of salvation in Jesus. I'm down here telling others about this great salvation because I want to. When we die everyone will live forever. However that life will be in either heaven or hell. Where you spend eternity is dependent on what you do with the Lord Jesus Christ.
CHUCK: Yeah.. .right man. Anyway I've got to go meet a client of mine and finish a business deal. Good talking to you. Here take a few bucks and go buy yourself a coffee....or get yourself a real job!
As CHUCK leaves he quickly stuffs a five dollar bill in my shirt pocket and walks away. I pray for God to convict him of his sin. I ask God to open his mind to his great need for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus.
That happens occasionally when people give me money. I don't want it and I don't solicit it in any way. I work for a living and have my own income. However some people must feel guilt or something and in their own way force a couple of dollars on me. I usually just put it in the plate at the collection in my church. However, I'm serving the Lord because I want to. I'm not doing it to get rich and expand worldly income. God provides for all my shelter, food, and clothing. I have plenty as God has always taken good care of me.
I continue handing out invitations. I see the odd person leave the broad road and pass through the narrow gate. However just as the Bible says, the majority stay on the broad road.
Prov 14:
12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
The next person to stop by for a chat is BILL-UNTEACHABLE: He has some strange views about God. Wants to come to God on HIS own terms not on God's terms. He has little patience for those who think they have cornered the market on truth. BILL finds the Bible too restrictive and narrow-minded. He prides himself with the fact that he has an OPEN MIND! (he doesn't realize if a person opens his mind too far his brains will fall out!) Bill has all kinds of new ideas to tell people who will listen. It is amazing how eager BILL will receive false teaching and reject true teaching. BILL claims to get all kinds of special revelations directly from God.
2 Tim 4:
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
BILL: Howdy, How are you tonight? Can I have one of those invitations?
ANDREW: Sure, here you go.
BILL: Christianity is very interesting. I've been doing some research into the concept of the Trinity and by the power of the Holy Spirit have come up with a few new ideas.
ANDREW: What can possibly be new about the Trinity. There is ONLY One God and He exists as three Divine Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
BILL: Yes, yes, but God showed me that there really are nine of them with each of the three being a mini Trinity. You see each is composed of body, soul, and spirit. I'm also getting some revelations by the Holy Spirit on the 'femaleness' of God. Perhaps the concept of heavenly father should be changed to heavenly parents. God is so great and he gives me all these revelations and visions by His Spirit.
ANDREW: There is a problem when the revelations from God do not line up with what God has already revealed in His Word, the Bible. It sounds to me like you have been hearing doctrines of devils.
1 Tim 4:
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
BILL: No, No, No... Your mind is too closed. That will get you nowhere! You must open up your mind and you will be surprised as to what you can learn!
ANDREW: Opening your mind to every false wind of doctrine is very dangerous. You can find yourself led into all kinds of deceptions.
BILL: Not me... God has appeared to me so I know that I'm not being deceived. It's people like you who refuse to think beyond the limits of this little black box you have around your head who are the ones being deceived.
ANDREW: I know for a fact that if a person clings to what God has already said in the Bible they will not go astray. We are commanded to test each and every wind of doctrine by what the Bible says. Look in the book of Acts chapter 17 where the Bereans checked out the apostle Paul. They wanted to make sure what he was saying is truth so they compared his teaching with the Word of God.
Acts 17:
10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.
BILL: No ... you've got it all wrong. God can talk to you in many ways. And we are sinning against God if we ignore Him talking to us!
ANDREW: If what you hear is contrary to God's revealed Word, the Bible then you have heard from demons and not God. Throughout the New Testament Christians are warned again and again about the dangers of deceptions. The key to being deceived seems to be when a person goes away from the Bible. At that point they open themselves to all kinds of deceptions. In your case you are getting all kinds of extra-Biblical revelations that are clearly demonic when compared to the Scriptures.
Ps 119:
105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
BILL: No, I'm not deceived. I know I've heard from God. He talks to me all the time. Many times at night I also receive visions and dreams. I know that is God talking. And you better be careful what you say. It sounds to me like you are blaspheming God and are in danger of perishing in hell. God has warned me that many will not listen to the visions and revelations that I get. I have been commanded to let them perish and to simply move on.
ANDREW: You don't even know what you are talking about! Yet you threaten people with perishing in hell if they do not respond positively to your demonic revelations? That type of reasoning will get you nowhere when you talk to someone who knows his Bible. I'm warning you! You are hearing from demons. Renounce and reject the demonic and give your life completely over to the Lord Jesus. Somehow you have allowed demons to communicate with you. How did you do that? Are you involved with the occult in some way?
BILL: I am NOT hearing from demons. You better renounce your condemning, judgmental, and unloving spirit or else you will be judged for touching God's anointed! You better listen to what I've said. You have been clearly warned.
BILL walks away at this point and he is clearly annoyed. It is a great disaster when people get deceived by not standing on the Bible, the Word of God. Somehow he got involved in the occult which is why he is hearing from demons. It just doesn't happen by itself. A person must invite demonic activity into their life. Extra-Biblical revelations are very dangerous. I've noticed that people who claim God is giving them a special revelation really are not hearing from God at all. Instead they teach non-Biblical things and try to claim it is God giving it directly to them. Then they make 'spiritual threats' to anyone who dares to question them or test what they say with the Bible. Myself whenever someone comes up with a teaching I always check it out with the Bible. I already know what God has revealed in the Bible and I plan to stand on that. Deception is dangerous when a person does not read his Bible on a regular basis. If that person does not know what God says about a matter then he is open to all kinds of deceptions.
I prayed for God to save BILL. I asked that he would be delivered from the demons and doctrines of devils that have so enslaved him.
BILL is an extreme case. However even within the Christian church there are people who say that God is talking to them either audibly or through visions. They come out with all kinds of foolish teachings that many people don't bother to check out. I remember a case where a man had a vision from God that on such-a-such a date God would rip all evil from the earth. Well that is NOT God talking. There will be evil on earth right up until the time when the Lord Jesus returns. Even during the 1000 Kingdom there will be evil on the earth. By comparing that person's prophecy with the Scriptures it is very easy to see that he made a false prophecy. However people didn't bother to check him out with the Bible. They just blindly accepted that false prophecy as the truth. The date came and went with nothing really happening. Next his followers tried to spiritualize the false prophecy. They said that because this event happened here that it was a fulfillment of the prophecy. They failed to realize that evil will NOT be ripped out from the world just because someone makes a false prophecy about it. God has dealt with sin in His creation and until He creates a new heavens and a new earth there will be sin in His creation. How easily people are deceived by those with extra-Biblical revelations!
After a few minutes of handing out invitations I heard a man coughing as he approached me. His name was SICK-PETE. He is a nice person if you were to meet him casually. However PETE has had terrible asthma for the last 10 years. He went to all kinds of doctors but his asthma was still serious. His doctors suggested he move to a city that has better climate. PETE grew frustrated and decided to go and see one of those holistic doctors with "new" ideas for medical treatment. He found one that is an occultic doctor who does funny Eastern religious techniques on his body. He had acupuncture performed on his body several times. Amazingly enough the occultic techniques seemed to relieve some of the symptoms of his asthma. One day while giving his testimony in a prayer group someone mentioned that the procedures were part of the occult and should be avoided by Christians. PETE got upset and claimed that he didn't care because all that mattered was the symptoms were relieved a bit. Unfortunately PETE has no discernment and is unteachable to many Biblical truths. He rejected the warning claiming that the ends justified the means. PETE does not realize that a Christian has no business going to the devil for anything! Even though he now enjoys a temporary relief from some of the symptoms, something worse is on the way for him. Occultic doctors cause demonic oppression and actually increase sickness over time. The devil is not a healer but rather a deceiver and a destroyer.
1 Sam 15:
23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
PETE: Hi, thank you for an invitation. I'm a Christian too and attend church and prayer group on a regular basis.
ANDREW: Well that's great news. Good to hear that.
PETE: I've also been healed. You see 10 years ago I had terrible asthma and had trouble breathing. I went to all kinds of doctors but they could not make me feel better. However, recently I had acupuncture done and since then I feel much better and can breath easier.
ANDREW: Wait a minute. Acupuncture is part of the Eastern occultic practices that try to balance your yin and your yan with psychic forces. It is part of the occult and no Christian has any business in messing with things of the devil!
PETE: What! Hey, it works and I'm feeling much better so it must be OK.
ANDREW: The occult is never OK. The devil is not in the healing business but rather in the deceiving and destroying business.
PETE: Well I can breath much easier and I don't have to move to another city because of acupuncture. I've already told all kinds of people and have known other Christians to go for similar treatments.
ANDREW: The end does not justify the means. If the devil gives a little now then later he will take a lot. His goal is to deceive and in the long run your healing will not be good. First place for healing you pray to God. Next you go to regular medical doctors who will give you proper treatments. Stay away from the voodoo/witchdoctor type of doctors who will be more than glad to perform occultic and devilish practices on your body.
PETE: Well I don't have to listen to this! What I did works and that is all I have to say. Goodbye!
As PETE left I prayed for God to deal with his rebellious and unteachable heart. I prayed that he would not be a snare for other Christians to be led into the occult. I've seen this type of thing before. Usually the person is unteachable and does not respond to sound doctrine. They are willing to try all kinds of occultic methods for healing under the name of 'Eastern' or 'holistic' approaches. Don't get me wrong... it is good to take vitamins. But to go to pseudo-doctors who will in some way manipulate your psychic energy for healing will do nothing but make you more ill in the long run. There are voodoo doctors that will manipulate your psychic energy through acupuncture, pressure points, herbal treatments, or foot massage. The occultic origins are all the same and these doctors should be completely avoided by Christians. We are living in dark days of great deceptions and people like PETE have been taken in by it. As I think about that encounter, I continue to give out invitations. I wonder how many other people who claim to be Christians go to doctors and have occultic techniques done to them?
Another danger is some of these fancy slick-talking TV preachers who claim to heal. I know of one in particular who has a huge church and has thousands come to his crusades. He has people to come forward and claims that many are healed of their sicknesses. However one anti-cult group challenged this preacher to document 1 case of a real healing at one of his crusades. To this date it has not happened. Here is what I mean about documentation. Lets say a person has been to a doctor with some kind of sickness. The doctor has taken various medical tests and has on record that this person has a specific medical problem. Next the person goes to a healing crusade by a slick TV preacher. The person comes forward and then claims to be healed for all to see. All that is needed is for that person to return to their doctor and allow more tests to be performed. If healing has really happened then the doctor should be able to easily document that fact. This has not happened as of yet. Don't get me wrong. God does heal the sick. I believe the first thing a person should do when sick is to pray to God. Have the elders in your church anoint with oil and pray also. Then go to the doctor. Keep praying as God also works through the medical profession. It is possible for God to do an outright healing of a condition. Other times God will effect the healing by going through a doctor. Other times we must bear sickness of some sort. The danger is to follow slick and fast-talking preachers who claim to have a super relationship with God and can "call down" healing on people. The TV preacher I'm referring to in this example has been confronted many times for preaching false doctrine and for getting "revelations" from God that are doctrinally unsound. Through it all he keeps on doing his deceptions while ignoring those who are concerned about false doctrine. He has also been unable to give one case of documented healing to this date. When people get sick many times they will do anything to seek health. It is very important to cling close to God during these times. Don't go seeking occultic doctors or wacko and unsound TV preachers to get your healing.
I continue to hand out invitations and the faces of the lost make an impression on me. Although everyone on the broad road sees me handing out invitations, many react differently. With some it is just a passing glance or with others it is a cutting stare. Some laugh, mock, or pretend I don't exist. Most walking by know I'm a Christian and I'm handing out information about the Lord Jesus Christ of some kind. Everyone walking by has heard about the narrow gate so they are really without excuse. We live in a land where the Gospel is broadcast on TV, radio, and in print. People really do not have any excuse other than the fact that they are not interested in Jesus.

As I mull on these thoughts, the next person I meet is PROUD-PHIL. PHIL goes to church and calls himself a Christian. He is in the music ministry. PHIL loves his music. He doesn't care much about obeying God, sound doctrine, or winning the lost. PHIL wants to further his music so he wants to play/sing in front of the church. He has a definite pride problem and considers himself superior to others. He has no burden for lost souls. PHIL loves to play his music but that's about it.

PHIL: A Christian, good to see you. I'm a Christian too. I'm very involved in the music ministry and play in front of my church all the time.
ANDREW: That's good. Are you also involved in showing people the way off the broad road through the narrow gate?
PHIL: No not really. I serve the Lord by playing my music. I'm very good at the guitar and singing. I also play the organ and trumpet. I'm in demand and also go on the odd singing engagement. I really like my music and others like my music also.
ANDREW: That's very nice but I notice the use of lots of "I", "me" etc... I would encourage you to get involved in telling people the good news of the Gospel. It's good to sing for the Lord but don't stop there. Also recognize that your gift is not yours... but belongs to God and you should humbly minister as He leads.
PHIL: I know what you mean but I'm not great at witnessing. I prefer to just stick with my music. I love playing/singing before the church and sitting on the platform with the pastors. Hey, that's what I do!
ANDREW: Let me ask you a question... do you read your Bible on a regular basis?
PHIL: To be truthful I rarely read it. But I do go to church so I feel that is enough. Plus I sing about lots of truths in my songs.
ANDREW: I would encourage you to get into the habit of reading the Scriptures (without fail) on a daily basis. As you feed on the Word of God over time there will be spiritual growth in your life. I would also encourage you to pray on a regular basis and to witness to the lost as God gives opportunity.
PHIL: Thanks but my work for God is my music.
As PHIL leaves I wonder if this person is really saved. Only God knows for sure but he has no interest in learning more about the knowledge of God. He has no burden for lost souls. He has no desire to do anything but to get up in church and play his music eagerly awaiting the applause at the end of his performance. I pray for God to save him and give him a burden for lost souls. Yes it is good to have a gift of music but souls are perishing in hell for all eternity. That fact should never be ignored by anyone who claims to be a Christian.
As PHIL leaves a man with a pipe in his mouth stops to talk. He accepts an invitation and quickly skims over it. His name is TOMAS-THE-EDUCATED-ONE: THOMAS was raised without God. He went to school and got his PHD. THOMAS is a very educated person who has no time for God. He does not want the Lord Jesus as Saviour. Its all foolishness to him. He is not hostile to Christianity but just sees no need for it in his life. THOMAS prides himself on his level of education and his sharp mind.

THOMAS: I see you are telling people about Jesus who you claim to be the ONLY way to God?
ANDREW: Yes, Jesus is the only Saviour and the ONLY way to God. See here:

THOMAS: All that is myths and fairy tales. Anyone with a scientific mind would dismiss everything you have said. Some people are weak and need a crutch. Religion seems to be the needed crutch for some. Myself I feel that religion has been responsible for the deaths of millions and should be abolished.
ANDREW: Do you know how many died by the godless philosophies of atheism in this century alone? At least 40 million people by the atheistic Russian and Chinese governments.
THOMAS: Humph, the human race has been evolving for millions of years and we are still going forward. We certainly do not need things like the Bible to turn people into religious fanatics.
ANDREW: Evolution has hurt society in a great way. I'd be glad to refer you to some excellent books on Biblical creation that you can pick up in most Christian bookstores. Evolution is nothing more than a man-made theory that attempts to prove that God does not exist. Atheism is the foundation stone of evolution. A person who believes in evolution need not believe in God and the Bible may be thrown in the trash can. That is the ultimate goal of evolution. This evil theory has succeeded in removing the value to life of people in society. For example, babies have been renamed to fetus's in the womb and then brutally murdered. After all according to evolution that fetus is not a person, just a collection of cells. Therefore to kill the fetus is not killing anything human. As a result the most dangerous place for a baby today is in the womb. Atheistic evolution has given license to kill innocent unborn human being babies in the womb!
THOMAS: Well evolution is a fact of science whereas your creation is nothing more than cloaked religion-ism.
ANDREW: Evolution is NOT a fact even though it is being taught as such in the God rejecting schools and universities of our day. No, to the thinking person it is hard to imagine that the human brain that is so complex that we have not even begun to figure out how it works, is a product of chance. Design requires a designer. You never see a hurricane go through a junkyard and throw together a 747 airplane. No, first a plane is designed then it is built. Such is with the creation of earth. The human eye that sees in 3d color, the human body, the human brain, the DNA molecule are all the result of complex design. Random chance and mutations as a rule are harmful rather than good. There are some marked differences between a person who embraces Biblical Creation and another person who embraces evolution. Here is some comparisons:
Biblical Creation:
GOD: He is a personal being who exists apart from His creation. He designed, created, and now maintains the universe by His almighty power.
PURPOSE IN LIFE: To receive forgiveness of sins and come into a personal relationship with God. God has a plan and a purpose for each individual.
RELIGION: Christianity is not man trying to reach God. Christianity is God's intervention in human history to save lost mankind.
SALVATION: The Lord Jesus died on the cross and paid for sin and purchased a place in heaven which He offers as a free gift. Anyone may freely receive it.
HELL: ...is for those who reject God's love gift of forgiveness and choose to pay the penalty for their sins themselves.
Colossians 1
Next we look at the influences that evolution have on a person:
Humanistic Evolution:
GOD: He does not exist. Chance is the creator and designer of the universe. Matter always existed or came into being from nothing. Since God does not exist there is no great value put on human life. If some die for the greater good then so be it. (example... abortion .. or killing the sick and elderly)
PURPOSE IN LIFE: Live and love for today and enjoy life now because after death the future is uncertain. The goal is personal fulfillment and satisfaction in life. Live all you can NOW because when you are dead.... You are dead!
RELIGION: Religions are created by man to satisfy social, environmental and emotional needs. Only the weak need it. (as you have already claimed!)
SALVATION: Sin is not a problem. Salvation is not needed since God does not exist. Each person is responsible for his own life and does not have to answer to a 'God'.
HELL: A place of eternal torment does not exist. There is no Holy God who demands punishment for sin.
Here is a what the Bible says for those who embrace such foolishness:
Romans 1
"...THE FOOL HATH SAID IN HIS HEART, THERE IS NO GOD...." (Psalms 14:1)
THOMAS: Well son, that Bible of yours sure has brainwashed you! I'll leave you now to your religious fanaticism. I'm not really interested in hearing all this! I can see (with your limited learning) you don't even understand evolution and what I've been saying!
ANDREW: Excuse me.... It's not brainwashing sir, but rather blood washing. The blood of Jesus cleanses from all sin! I only hope you come to the point in your life where you see your need for a Saviour.
THOMAS takes a big puff from his pipe, shakes his head, and walks on down the broad road. I pray for God to convict that man of his sin and to bring him to the point of repentance. To many their "great" learning has actually made them stupid. It is interesting how a person can believe in God, go to university, and come out not believing in God. Something happened to make them stupid. God Himself calls that type of a person a fool:
Ps 14:
Well I had quite an evening serving at the crossroads. I close with prayer asking God to save souls who have come under the call of the Gospel. I head home praying that some of the people encountered would turn to the narrow gate.
