ANTI-RAPTURE PEOPLE

by Alan Yusko

I've received a few 'hate' mail letters from the anti-rapture folks over the years. I find many of them quite rude from these 'nice' people. Also, many make the foolish claim that a person is not saved if they believe in the pre-tribulation rapture. Some have called me a deceiver or a wolf simply because I believe in and defend the pre-tribulation rapture.

Now lets think this thing through. I'm very aware of God's plan of salvation and nowhere does the timing of the rapture have any affect on one's salvation. In fact it is possible for a person to be totally wrong about prophecy and still go to heaven. Why is this so? Well, simply put, the blood of Jesus cleanses from sin and not one's belief in the timing of the rapture. Personally, I know of saved post tribulationists and saved people who believe the error of amilleniallism. Yes, these people are wrong about prophecy but they are not wrong about the Lord Jesus and His shed blood on the cross!

This leads me further to wonder how a person is saved by those who condemn to hell all people who believes the pre-tribulation rapture. That is food for thought. Maybe the rapture condemners have no idea of how a person is saved in the first place. If a person has a wrong understanding of the simple plan of salvation as found in the Bible, is that person saved? No! Jesus and His shed blood is the only way a person can be saved. Prophecy has nothing to do with salvation.

While we are on the topic, here is some information on how a person may be born again.

JESUS SAID: "YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN!" YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN!

John 3
1. There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest
the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
HOW TO BE BORN AGAIN:

John 3
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

THE NEW BIRTH:

1 Peter 1
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

2 Corinthians 5
17 Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

John 3
36 HE THAT BELIEVETH ON THE SON HATH EVERLASTING LIFE: AND HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT THE SON SHALL NOT SEE LIFE; BUT THE WRATH OF GOD ABIDETH ON HIM.

THE BIBLE SAYS....

ALL HAVE SINNED:

Romans 3
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

SIN HAS A PENALTY:

Ezekiel 18
20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Luke 13
3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

THE LORD JESUS PAID THE PENALTY:

Isaiah 53
5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

YOU MUST RECEIVE THE LORD JESUS:

John 1
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

SINNERS PRAYER

Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner and I ask You to come into my life to forgive and save me. I now receive You as my Saviour (trusting in You ALONE to save me) and my Lord (making You my Master and committing my life to You).
