SAINT OR AN AIN'T?

by Alan Yusko

Mel is certainly laughing all the way to the bank with the money earned from his Passion movie. Six hundred million dollars is a good take at the box office! I certainly hope Mel enjoys all his worldly wealth! He may be rich in terms of worldly wealth but he is very poor in light of eternity. In fact, his Catholic Jesus who is sacrificed in every mass for the sins of the people, cannot save anyone! Only the Jesus of the Bible can and does save. The Lord Jesus died ONCE on the cross and that was sufficient to pay for sin!

Sadly, many who love their ears tickled and who do not have any discernment support Mel's Catholic movie that presents a Jesus not found in the Bible. But this is to be expected as we are living in the days of apostasy and not revival. People are rejecting sound Biblical doctrine and falling away into error. In fact it is very trendy to accept the latest false teaching and heresy. Some think that the majority must be right as false teachings are popular in these days of apostasy!

The point I want to make is related to the Catholic false teaching of sainthood. In the Roman cult, Mr. Pope must beautify someone before they become a saint. I guess before Mr. Pope beautifies someone they are an Aint? (they ain't a saint???)... or maybe they are just in purgatory paying for their own sins according to Catholic teaching (and in direct denial to the finished work of the Lord Jesus on the cross!). However, in the Bible all believers who have repented of their sins and accepted the Lord Jesus as their Saviour are already saints! Which do you believe? The Roman Catholic sainthood via Mr Pope? Or do you believe the Bible, the Word of God?

Matt 27 52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

Acts 9 13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:

Acts 9 32 And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda.

Rom 15 25 But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.

Contrary to the Bible.... Below is the article:

Mystic Who Helped Inspire "The Passion" to Be Beatified in October

The German mystic whose recorded visions helped inspire "The Passion of the Christ" will be beatified Oct. 3. Anna Katharina Emmerick (1774-1824) will be beatified at the Vatican along with Karl I (1887-1922), emperor of Austria and king of Hungary. The Vatican Secretariat of State communicated the news of Emmerick's beatification to the Muenster Diocese.

Emmerick, an Augustinian religious and a native of Westphalia, "bore the stigmata of the Lord's Passion and received extraordinary charisms that she used for the consolation of numerous visitors," said Cardinal José Saraiva Martins, prefect of the Congregation for Sainthood Causes, when reading the decree of recognition of a miracle last July. Beginning in 1813, illness kept the religious confined. From then on, she was nourished only by the Eucharist. During her last years.....

The result was the book "The Bitter Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ." That work, in addition to the Gospels, helped inspire Mel Gibson in the making of "The Passion of the Christ." The film had taken in $603 million at the box office as of May 23. ...zenit
