CAN YOU SEE THE DANGER COMING???
by Alan Yusko Jan 1997

Proverbs 22:3
3. A prudent [man] foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.

This tract asks the question: Can you see the danger coming. The world is heading into perilous times... can you see the danger? The Lord Jesus is coming back soon... can you recognize that fact? God will soon judge the world... are you ready for that occurrence? The bottom line is: do people really prepare for approaching danger?

I'll start off this tract by telling a real life story: Recently in my home city we had a snowstorm drop 6-8 inches of snow on the ground. The storm began around noon and stopped around 9:30pm at night. Everyone knew the storm was coming so it was no suprise. Driving home in rush hour is from about 4pm to 6pm on normal work days. During this time the streets are busy from all the people returning to home from work. The company where I work has flex time. This means you can leave work early or come in later as long as the time is made up on another day. Another point is that everyone at work knew that rush hour was going to be bad during the day of the storm.

The question is how many people prepared for the snowstorm at my work? The storm began at noon and by 2pm the streets were already a mess and driving was beginning to be quite dangerous. I saw this and was able to slip out of work at 3:15pm. My goal was to get home before rush hour so I wouldn't get stuck in the terrible driving conditions. Unfortunately, in my immediate work area I was the only one who saw the danger and prepared by leaving early. The next day there were all kinds of stories of people who had a hard time getting home during the storm. It took one person 4 1/2 hours extra to get home. Others it took an extra 1-3 hours. A few who used the subway system didn't experience any delays because the storm didn't affect that service at all. Myself it took only an extra 5 minutes because I saw the danger and left before rush hour. As far as I could tell, I was the only person who saw the danger and took action to avoid the trouble.

This story has real spiritual implications. Right now the world is in severe danger. At any time now the rapture of the church will occur taking all spirit-reborn Christians to heaven. After that the anti-Christ will be free to rise to power to terrorize the earth for 7 years. During that time God will pour out all His judgments on a Christ rejecting earth. At the end of that period will be the battle of Armageddon and the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to setup His millennial Kingdom. Before the great day of the return of the Lord Jesus the earth will have its darkest days. Evil will reign and everything associated with God will be attacked.

Christians have been warning the world now for 20-30 years that the coming of the Lord Jesus is near. However just as in the days of Noah, people have closed their ears to the reality of the message. During the days of Noah people closed their ears to the truth and ignored his message. He preached for over 120 years and was completely ignored. See the below Scripture:

Matthew 24
37 But as the days of Noe [were], so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Notice verse 39. The coming of the Lord Jesus will be similar to the days of Noah. People again will ignore the message given by God's people warning of impending judgment. God's Word says that people will continue doing day-to-day activities and will be blinded to the danger of God's judgment on a Christ rejecting world. Verse 39 states that the people didn't know anything was wrong until the flood actually came and killed them. Similar conditions will exist related to the coming of the Lord Jesus.

AN ETERNAL DANGER

Hebrews 9 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Another danger that is largely ignored is death. The above verse shows that after a person dies he faces judgment. There is no exception to this rule. In fact this verse alone totally rules out all possibility of reincarnation. When a person dies they will be judged by God. Everyone dies and the death rate currently runs at one per person. The coming exception to that rule will be the rapture of the Church! During the rapture there will be one generation of spirit-reborn Christians who will be translated directly to meet the Lord Jesus without death. However, for the unsaved death holds judgment and terror. Unfortunately, during life that danger is largely ignored. People get busy with the troubles and cares of this world and ignore their impending eternal destiny. After life in this world is finished a person is either SAVED or LOST. That person will either spend his eternity with God in heaven or he will spend his eternity separated from God in the lake of fire. This verse illustrates this fact:

John 3
36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

CONCLUSION

This tract concludes by asking the question: Have YOU prepared for the coming danger? Soon God will judge the world. Death for anyone can come at any time. Are you ready for that? Have you prepared for death by accepting God's love gift of salvation and eternal life? Will your eternity be spent in heaven or hell?

Don't ignore the issue of your eternal soul!

1 Thessalonians 5:1
1. But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

BELOW IS INFORMATION ON HOW YOU MAY BE SAVED!

DON'T BE FOOLISH! ........ DO YOU GAMBLE WITH YOUR ETERNAL SOUL?

TO DO NOTHING WITH THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS THE SAME AS TO REJECT HIM

Matthew 12:30

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

TODAY, NOT TOMORROW, IS THE DAY OF SALVATION

2 Corinthians 6:2

9. Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous [there is] favour.

1 Corinthians 1:18
18 FOR THE PREACHING OF THE CROSS IS TO THEM THAT PERISH FOOLISHNESS; BUT UNTO US WHICH ARE SAVED IT IS THE POWER OF GOD.

THE BIBLE SAYS

ALL HAVE SINNED:

Romans 3
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

SIN HAS A PENALTY:

Ezekiel 18
20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Luke 13
3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

JESUS PAID THE PENALTY:

Isaiah 53
4. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

YOU MUST RECEIVE THE LORD JESUS:

John 1
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:

Revelation 3
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

SINNERS PRAYER

Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner and I ask you to come into my life to forgive and save me. I now receive you as my Saviour and Lord. Take control of my life and make me into the kind of person that YOU want me to be. I mean this with all my heart! Amen.
