Recently on TV there was a documentary about the book of Revelation. Myself, I didn't see the show. However, I did bump into someone who did view the show. He told me that it was VERY interesting. Apparently, they dug up a copy of the book of Revelation in the ground somewhere in Turkey. When they viewed it they noticed that the mark of the beast in Revelation was 616. What a revelation and a "new" find that was! As a result of this 'discovery' they claimed that the Bible was wrong and that the number of the beast must be 616 instead of 666! Whatever evidence they presented was enough to convince this person that the documentary was accurate in its claims and the Bible had errors.
I thought this over and realized that if people are so easily deceived by a false-evidence type of show as this, then they really do not have a chance when the major deceptions come into the world concerning the antichrist!
Soon there will be all kinds of false evidence presented to "prove" the Bible is not the Word of God. The Christ rejecting and gullible will accept all that is said. They must do this as the alternative involves moral choices. If the Bible really is the Word of God, then men are accountable to a Holy God and will one day stand before Him in judgment. This means lost men need a Saviour and the Lord Jesus is the only Saviour! Instead of facing that reality, lost people choose to dismiss the Bible as worthless in order to justify their rejection of the Lord. It really is a personal choice!
What kinds of deceptions are coming in the days ahead? I would expect UFO's to be a big one. After the antichrist is revealed there will be contact with UFO beings. In reality UFO's are not really friendly spacemen. They are, however, intra-dimensional beings known as demons. Their purpose is to deceive and enslave and lead to hell as many as possible. After the rapture of the Church, the restrainer will be removed and the antichrist will be free to assume power on earth. At that point demons will be free to manifest themselves to the world. They will pretend to be friendly UFO spacemen who are here for the good of mankind. When people actually see these demons acting like friendly UFO's, they will be totally deceived. They will accept the lie that these UFO's planted mankind on earth many years ago and are now returning to help in the forward evolution of the human species. All this belief includes a total rejection of the Bible and what God has revealed about His creation. Therefore the Bible will be considered to be "proven" a false document. People will grow so anti-Bible that it will be banned and forbidden. People who believe the Bible will be branded as intolerant bigots and their belief will be considered a criminal charge. The day will come when Bible believing Christians will be hunted down and killed.
DECEPTION IS A VERY BAD THING
For the lost, Christ rejecting sinner, deception is a curse upon them. They don't know it at the time but they are being preserved until the day of their destruction when they die and forever perish in hell, the lake of fire! When God allows a person to be deceived it is a very bad thing. Here are some verses that describe the coming great deception and how God will blind the eyes of the lost until they perish from the earth.
2 Thess 2
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not
come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of
sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called
God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the
temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you
these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in
his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now
letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall
consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the
brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all
power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that
perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that
they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that
they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but
had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Looking at the above verses we can see a warning in verse 3. The warning is to protect yourself so you will not be deceived! But how does a person protect themselves from deception. The answer is simple! Accept the Lord Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Then believe in the Bible and read it each and every day without fail. Those who have the Word of God in their hearts are not easily led astray! Sadly the majority who profess to be Christian today never read their Bibles. By ignoring the Word of God, a person is putting themselves into a place where they are open to great deception.
For those in rejection of the Lord the above verses paint a very sad situation.
verse 9: The antichrist will be doing all kinds of false miracles, signs, and lying wonders. There will be all kinds of false evidence presented by Satan, demons, and his servants to "prove" the Bible is false. This "proof" will be backed up by signs and lying miracles that people can see with their eyes. That will give great credibility to these deceptions and all who reject the Lord will be deceived.
verse 10: These deceptions will be targeted at those who perish. They will be targeted to lost people! Verse 10 also says lost people do not love the truth of the Word of God so they may be saved. As a result they will be given lies and deceptions to believe with all their hearts! A person who does not want to get close to the Lord, always wants to get close to the devil.
Verse 11: As a result of lost people rejecting the Lord, the truth of His Word, and salvation, God will send them a strong delusion to believe in. These lost people didn't want the truth so God will send them a delusion to believe in with all their hearts. We do not know exactly what that delusion is as the Word of God does not reveal it. However, many have guessed that belief in all the lies around UFO's and life on other planets may be a part of that deception. Once people can see demons impersonating "UFO aliens" with their eyes, that will give great credibility to the lies around UFO's.
verse 12: Finally in verse 12 God gives the reason for sending a great delusion to lost people. Since they have rejected salvation and the Word of God, they will perish. God will allow these Christ rejecters to believe lies and perish in their sins. This is a great curse from God when a person is allowed to be deceived by lies unto death and hell. Such a person has rejected the Lord Jesus and salvation but they will accept all that Satan has for them. This great delusion will seal their fate of a lost eternity in hell, the lake of fire!
CONCLUSION
Are you deceived reader? Do you know someone who is deceived and is living in rejection of the Lord Jesus. Are you currently one heartbeat from heaven? or one heartbeat from hell?

deceive many.
Rom 16
18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but
their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the
hearts of the simple.
Eph 4
14 That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro,
and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of
men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
Eph 5
6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these
things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
