FALLING AWAY

We are living in the days just before the return of the Lord Jesus where He will come to rapture home His Church to heaven. When this occurs the restraining influence of the Spirit filled Church will be removed and the devil will be free to bring to power his antichrist. These days will not be marked by great revival and spiritual awakening. Instead apostasy and a falling away from sound Biblical doctrine will be on a world-wide level.

Many who profess to be Christians will simply fall away. The tares will come to bloom and their 'taredome' and love of sin and evil will be plain for all to see. Today this can be seen in the churches that have given themselves over to sin, rebellion and apostasy.

Rock and roll reins in such churches. Along with rock there is great ecumenism and a uniting with false religions from Romanism, to Mormons, to Muslims all in the name of love, unity, and brotherhood.

Other churches follow the great TV evangelists who are nothing more than doctrine rejecting apostate wolves. However, they attract a large and loyal following. Many will blindly follow a false teaching TV evangelist and reject with anger any Biblical warnings and corrections. These false preachers attract people who are experience driven. If it feels good then it must be from God. The whole charismatic movement is based on feeling good and not on sound Biblical doctrine. Many have forsaken sound Biblical doctrine and have accepted experience driven religious experiences.

Doctrine is being attacked in these last days. Tares, wolves, and deceivers want nothing with sound Biblical doctrine. These men expect their blind followers to listen to their teachings blindly and without testing. They accuse those who put the false teachings to the test of the Scriptures as being unloving and "touching God's anointed". Actually these men are not God's anointed but rather they are Satan's anointed! The poor deceived followers are told not to pray or test from the Bible. To do so would inhibit God's anointing. That is a lie from the devil! Yet many believe and put their faith in the wolves and false teachers.

Lost men, tares, and deceivers want nothing to do with sound Biblical doctrine. Most do not want to hear "thus saith the Lord". People want to live their lives of sin and darkness without any intervention from God and His Word. People are rejecting the things of God while accepting the things of the devil. The concept of obedience and separation from sin and deceivers is foreign to the experience driven person.

I still hear from the occasional blind person who thinks there will not be widespread apostasy in the last days. All I can say is wake up and look around! It is plain to see. God has given many warnings about the last days apostasy in the Scriptures.

2 Thess 2
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Above we can see that the Bible warns of a falling away and that this will occur before the rise of the antichrist. We are in those days right now! When the antichrist arises to power after the rapture the trend to apostasy will not begin. Instead it will be in its last stages and the world will be ripe for the devil's man. Right now apostasy can be easily seen through the world. Many Godless men dare to call themselves pastors and lead liberal and apostate churches. These men deny foundational Bible doctrines like the Trinity, salvation by faith apart from works, and the fact that the Lord Jesus is the only way to be saved. They accept sins and works of the devil. The word SIN and HELL is out as they fell it is too negative and will hurt people's self-esteem. Sodomy is acceptable as is many other forms of sin and doctrinal compromise.

Some of the last days apostate churches even dare to debate whether or not to accept sodomite pastors. When a church reaches that stage they are already apostate. You see the homosexual pervert is an abomination to God and the whole issue is really a no-brainer. That type of perversion should never even be considered as acceptable. To even consider the abomination of sodomy shows the depth of apostasy already in place! But these things are expected in the last days!

LAST DAYS APOSTASY

1 Tim 4
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

In these last days some will depart from the faith. Do you think the word 'some' is verse 1 above means just a few here and there? I would encourage you to simply look around for the correct answer. How many "Christian" churches have given themselves over to Satan's rock and roll music? Today the young people proudly listen to the latest secular rock and roll with no conscience about it. It is vogue in the young people groups to attend all the latest rock and roll concerts. How many other churches are uniting with the false religion of Romanism? Even so called great leaders like Billy Graham have led many astray. At each of his "do's - or shows" he always has heavy contemporary rock and roll groups. Plus on the stage he will sit with prominent catholic priests and such. Folks, this is not right and this trend is typical throughout the world. Compromise is "in" while obedience and Biblical separation is considered narrow-minded and unloving.

Will deceptions be few or many in the last days? I would say they would be widespread and there are several warnings in Scriptures to that effect!

MANY FALSE TEACHERS IN THE LAST DAYS!

Matt 24
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Matt 24
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Deception and compromise will be widespread in the last days before the return of the Lord Jesus. Satan will have his wolves everywhere. The world will literally be led astray. Sound Biblical doctrine will be rejected! When the antichrist comes to power after the rapture, the great apostasy and rejection of things of God will be the norm.

2 Pet 2
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Above we are warned that there will be dangerous doctrine denying false prophets/teachers who will lead astray many! Here is a point to consider. A person who loves the Lord and reads and obeys His Bible will not be led astray. The Word of God is a shield against the fiery darts of the devil. However, in the last days many will be led astray. I'll come right out and say what I've observed. Not many in these last days read their Bibles on a regular (daily) basis. People are willing to eat physical food on a daily basis but they neglect the spiritual food only found in the Word of God! Why is this so? Do people want to learn from God's Word the Bible? Perhaps it is a heart and love problem toward God? I encourage everyone who claims to be a Christian to be sure to read God's Word each and every day!

What about the last day wolves? What does the Bible say about them? It is interesting to note that they will get more vile and deceptive.

2 Tim 3
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

These wolves of Satan will get more bold and brash as we approach the return of the Lord Jesus. Just as they deceive and lead others astray, the devil has deceived and led them astray! It is literally a situation where the blind and lost are leading the blind and lost. Both will die, perish, and burn in the lake of fire for all eternity!

One characteristic of the devil's wolves is that they look and sound like a Christian. A wolf rarely looks like a wolf! They are just like their daddy, the devil. Satan does not present himself as a horrible looking beast! Instead he appears as an angel of light. He looks good and sounds good as he seeks to lead as many to hell as possible.

2 Cor 11
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

These men are deceitful workers of the devil who have transformed themselves to look like followers of the Lord Jesus. Just as the devil dresses up sin and evil to look good, so likewise do these ministers of the devil.

Personally I'm not too worried about the last days deceivers. God has pronounced a Divine curse on such men:

Gal 1
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

All the wolves and deceivers that lead people astray and who deny the foundational doctrines of Christianity are accursed! It is not a light thing to lead people away from God. Remember God is a loving and a jealous God. He loves His people and will certainly judge false shepherds who attempt to damage and lead astray His people.

We live in a day where abominable, sinful, evil, wolves, and deceivers profess to be Christians. These men and women rise to the position of leadership (pastors, associate pastors, youth pastor, music minister) and begin to spread their heresy and deception to all willing to listen.

Jude 1
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jude 1
11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

Satan and his people have 'crept' into many churches. These people are accursed ones and children of the devil. Test them as they will fail under the Word of God. These men and women are to be rejected and avoided! If you attend such a church, get out!

TOLERATING EVIL

There is another problem. It deals with the person who tolerates a liberal and compromising church. Why would a person stay in such an environment? Why would a person claim to be a Christian and stay in such an evil environment? Does that person love the Lord? Is that person saved? This can be seen by the Godly fruit of the Holy Spirit in His life. A truly saved person will love the Lord and seek to please Him in thought, word, and deed. To the saved, sin is not loved and embraced. It is something to renounce and reject. A saved person loves the Word of God and he reads it daily and seeks to grow in Christ. Soul searching is needed. If you are attending a liberal, compromising church, then get out! Find a good Bible believing church that loves the Lord and is a place for Christians to grow and mature.

Yet others who have played the game of Christianity are falling away! They have no heart for sound Biblical doctrine. Here is what the Bible says:

2 Tim 4
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Many simply do not have a heart for sound Biblical doctrine. They react with anger and fury when their wolf and deceiver is called to account by the Word of God. These people attend a ecumenical, rock and roll type of Church on Sunday. They are tares who do not know the Lord. As the days pass these people will get further from God and closer to the devil! You see as we live our lives day by day we are either walking closer to God or closer to the devil! Which direction is your life going, reader? Are you getting closer to the Lord each day or are you becoming close with the devil?

I have seen many so-called Christians who love the things of the devil and who reject the things of God. Yet to tell them to their face that they were lost would result in an explosion in anger! These lost hypocrites have hell to look forward to in the days ahead!

Each day that goes by brings us closer to the return of the Lord Jesus to rapture home His Church to heaven. Be warned that the days we live in will be increasingly dangerous and evil.

2 Tim 3
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

The above verses are very descriptive of these last days! We are now living in perilous times. Things are not getting better, instead they are getting worse! Remember I mentioned that people will either get closer to God or closer to the devil in these last days. For those who are getting closer to the devil, look at the above list of demonic fruit that goes along with a relationship with Satan. In that list are the wolves and deceivers (v 5) who have a form of godliness (they look like Christians) yet they are not. These men are evil and we are commanded to turn away from and avoid such men.

Isn't that harsh instructions? In the above verses in verse 5, God's people are commanded to turn away from evil deceivers and wolves! Ohhhh that is so narrow and unloving, the compromiser tare would say. However, it is a warning to God's people. Reject and turn away from false teachers and deceivers. Do not fellowship or support in any way such men or women. These people are accursed and will be judged by God. For your protection, get away from such deceivers! If you attend a church where such a man is the pastor.... get out! Don't think about it... just do it! Turn away and reject such a person!

Another point I want to make is related to verse 7 above. In these last days the tares are always trying to learn but they never come to the knowledge of the truth. Yes they have their little alpha courses and other compromising agendas. There seems to be no end to the compromising little projects. There was the "WHY" program, the alpha course, the prayer of Jabez and many other feel good but doctrine rejecting programs. Yet, as the tares may enjoy learning, they will never reach the truth. The simple reason is these people have no heart for sound Biblical doctrine. It is impossible to reach the truth when the foundations of sound Biblical doctrine are rejected. It ultimately is a love problem. The experience driven tare does not love the Lord. If a person truly loved the Lord then they would seek to please and obey Him. The tares have no interest in such things.

FAMINE IS IN THE LAND!

I want to close this tract with a reminder that we are living in days of a famine in the land. Yes the Bible can be found and read easily. Even people in countries closed to the Gospel can still get at the Scriptures if they have internet access. However there is still a famine in the land. Many people are simply not interested in the Scriptures and the things of God. It is much easier to turn off the old brain and follow some wolf or deceiver. People do not love the Lord and they do not want to draw near Him to learn His ways and obey Him.

Amos 8
11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.

We are living in days of famine. I have heard from hurt Christians who do not have a good Bible based church near their home to attend. This is a very sad reality of the last days as many churches have fallen away and many professing Christians do not care.

I would encourage everyone reading this to be sure you read God's word each and every day. Beware of false teaching and test all things against the Word of God. Do not accept or tolerate wolves in your midst. Once they have been exposed by the Word of God, reject and avoid them! Seek out and find a good, solid Bible believing Church.
