FALSE PROPHETS, DECEIVERS, AND FALSE TEACHERS

By Alan Yusko

This is a tract about false prophets. We will look at some characteristics of a false prophet. In these last days apostasy abounds and false prophets are prospering as they deceive and fleece their gullible followers of their money.

However, for those grounded in the Bible a false prophet is nothing to worry about. A person who draws near to God daily and reads the Bible each day is not easily deceived and led astray. The Word of God is strength, guidance, and protection for the people of God.

MANY DECEIVERS IN THE LAST DAYS

There is one thing the Bible is very clear. It is repeated that false teachers and deceivers will be many in the last days. They will prosper as many gullible will not check these wolves out using the Bible. Instead they will blindly follow these ear tickling wolves. Doctrine will not be important and this will be the foundation that will allow the deceiver and false teachers to prosper.

Here are several verses that warn of MANY false teachers and deceivers. As you read the below list, focus on the fact that there will be many of them.

Matthew 24
4. And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Matthew 24
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Matthew 24
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Mark 13:5
5. And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any [man] deceive you:
6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am [Christ]; and shall deceive many.

Acts 20
29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

Titus 1
10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:

2 John 1
7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

As you can see from the above verses that there will be no shortage of false teachers and deceivers in these last days. They will be present teaching their God-denying doctrines freely and openly. Many will listen to them and reject the sound Biblical teaching from the Bible. This is a very sad fact! Why would men let a deceiver lead one astray from the Word of God?

2 Tim 4
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

This is a strong warning. This is a day coming when men and women will reject sound Biblical doctrine. Instead these people will seek out and receive false teachers. We are in those days today... so BEWARE!

Matt 7
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A FALSE TEACHER

False teachers should not be a surprise to anyone. God have given many warnings in the Bible. They are really quite easy to spot. Plus there are lots of them, just as the Bible said there would be! Below is a list of some characteristics of a false teacher.

1) THEY LOVE MONEY
False teachers are seeking the riches of this world. They love money! Just look at their expensive clothes, big fat rings. outrageous cars and homes. All this gain is obtained by fleecing their followers into donations. They are expert at the art of guilt trip and soliciting donations. All their gullible and blind followers are encouraged to send in their money to the wolf. Somehow these donations end up as expensive suits, rings, summer homes, private jets etc for the false teacher. Here is what the Bible says about the relationship to money with a false teacher:

Titus 1
10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.

These false teachers teach evil heretical doctrines against God and the Bible. Why do they take the time to do it? The Bible says one motivation is money. Filthy lucre is ill-gotten financial gain. It is doing something evil and getting money for it. Drug pushers get their filthy lucre by selling drugs. False teachers get their filthy lucre by teaching ear tickling heresy to those with a gullible and darkened heart to receive it. So whatever you do, if you are a blind wolf follower, send in that prayer cloth, or plant that money seed faith as the wolf wants and needs your money! They are more than willing to open your envelope, chuck your prayer request into the trash, and keep the dollars! Today many wolves and false teachers are laughing all the way to the bank as they make regular deposits with their filthy lucre.

Jude 1
11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

However, God's attitude to these wolves is to say WOE UNTO THEM. When God says "Woe" about something then watch out! Impending judgment is part of that "Woe"! Verse 13 indicates that God has a place in hell reserved for these false teachers. It will be a place of torment and of blackness of darkness for ever! Think about it reader, is a few short years of filthy lucre worth an eternity perishing in the lake of fire!

2 Pet 2
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Ultimately these false teachers love the world. They do not love God and have no concern for their eternal souls and the souls of their deceived followers. Here is what the Bible says about loving the world:

1 John 2
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

1 Tim 6
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

I just want to comment on the above verse. Money in itself is not the root of all evil. We all must wisely use money and be good stewards of the money God entrusts to us in this world. We all need money to live and pay our bills. Some have a little bit of money and others have much more. The amount of money a person has is not the issue above. It is the love of money that is the root of all evil. With the love of money a person will do evil things in order to increase his worldly wealth. The false teachers spreads his heresies and hopes for donations, royalties from books, tapes, movies etc. They keep doing it because it can pay very well as there is no shortage of blind and gullible followers in these last days.

2) PERSONAL PRIDE
The Bible also indicates that the false teacher is a proud person who really knows nothing. If the false teacher had just the smallest amount of Godly wisdom, he would immediately stop preaching heresy. Instead these proud, evil, and lost teachers continue in their false teaching:

1 Tim 6
3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

Look at verse 3 above. The false teacher will not consent to wholesome words. This means that the false teacher will not listen to sound Biblical teaching or correction. They continue teaching their error even though they are warned that their teaching is wrong and evil. The false teacher has a hard and unteacheable heart. Verse 4 indicates that the false teacher really knows nothing of real substance. However, the false teacher knows what blind and gullible people want to hear and they know how to tickle the ears. If they make their deceived listeners happy then the end result will be more money in the bank. For a successful false teacher they tend to have big ministries and large bank accounts. They foolishly believe that "gain" is godliness. They think that God is blessing them because they have lots of money in the bank. To the false teacher, money in the bank is a sign of blessing from God. How wrong they are! Their riches ultimately come from the god of this world, Satan. He helps and prospers the false teacher!

3) THE FALSE TEACHER LOOKS LIKE A CHRISTIAN, A MINISTER OF RIGHEOUSNESS
The false teacher has to look good. It is part of his deception. He will always be dressed very well with expensive jewelry. They believe gain is godliness (1 Tim 6:5) so they certainly have to look the part! They also want to project the image of truthfulness, humbleness, and a great understanding of God and His Word. Credibility is very important when people are being deceived. Let's read God's description of the appearance of the false teacher:

2 Cor 11
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

The false teacher is imitating Satan. The devil does not want to look bad. The Bible describes him as an angel of light in his appearance. Just like the devil the false teacher must look like a minister of the Gospel. They need to look like they are righteous and are servants of God. Actually they are servants of the devil.

4) THE FALSE TEACHER PROFESSES TO BE A CHRISTIAN
There is a big difference between talk and walk. The false teacher certainly can talk the talk. It is all part of their deception as they introduce heresy. These wolves will make great professions of faith and make many loudmouth professions about their "close" relationship to God. But in reality they actions deny the truthfulness of their words. Here is what the Bible says:

Titus 1
16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

The above verse is a great verse to use when describing the rock and roll devils and false teachers assaulting the church these days. These Satanic freaks look like the devils' secular groups and they sound like them. However, some give out Bibles at concerts and others make great professions in their faith in Jesus. All this is negated by their evil works of rock and roll music! With their big mouths the rock and rollers profess they know God. However in their actions and lifestyle they deny him and show to all that they are nothing more than rebellious and disobedient servants of the devil. False teachers who dare to stand in pulpits do the same thing as the rock and rollers. These wolves appear honest and humble and they deny the foundational doctrines of Christianity and introduce heresies from the pit of hell.

5) FALSE TEACHERS ARE SERVING THEMSELVES
The false teacher is serving themselves. They seek financial gain, popularity, pride and ego uplifting. They do not seek the welfare of their gullible followers. Here is what the Bible says:

Rom 16
17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Notice above that these false teachers are serving their own selves and not the Lord Jesus Christ. They will use many good words and with fine and emotional speeches. The goal is to deceive the hearts of the simple and the gullible. What about you reader, are you deceived by a false teacher?

Isa 56
11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

The false teacher can be likened to a greedy dog. They get wound up and want more and more temporal wealth, pride, and fame. Again these wolves cannot understand sound Biblical doctrine. How can they as they have no heart for it! They are looking after number one which is themselves!

6) SOME FALSE TEACHERS WILL BE ABLE TO PERFORM MIRACLES
The Bible warns that there can be cases where an actual miracle can occur. This will actually increase the closer we get to the end of the age and the return of Jesus. After the rapture the devil and his antichrist will perform all kinds of Satanic miracles. The devil can use a miracle with the goal of deceiving and enslaving lost souls. God warns below for a person not to be deceived. Even if a person does a miracle and still teaches heresy then beware! They are not from God! Here is what God says:

Deut 13
1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn [you] away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.

If the day ever comes when you see some sort of miracle or something supernatural, don't be deceived by it. God is testing you to see if you will remain faithful to him or if you will allow yourself to be deceived by the devil.

7) FALSE TEACHERS ARE DECEIVERS AND THEY ARE THEMSELVES DECEIVED
The word blind and deception goes with false teacher. Not only is the false teacher blind, deceived, lost and on the way to hell, but they seek the same fate for others. They are literally a pathway of deception to hell for the gullible, blind, and lost! The blind leading the blind to hell!

Matt 15
14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

8) FALSE TEACHERS SEEK TO ENSLAVE THE LOST AND DYING
The goal of the false teacher (who is nothing more than a pawn of Satan) is to gain followers as they deceive and enslave. Read below!

Acts 20
28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

Notice verse 30 above. The false teacher is recruiting disciples. They seek followers. In fact they need followers. The more followers then the more access to money as they fleece them for the latest financial sacrifice.

Verse 31 is also very interesting. It shows that things have not really changed much from the Apostle Paul's day to this day today. The Bible warns again and again about the danger of false teachers who deny the foundations of Christian doctrine. Yet, these false teachers increase and continue to get many followers. It seems many people simply do not wish to listen.

My personal observation is that when a person rejects the truth of the Gospel then they will believe a lie of Satan with all their hearts. There are many "flavors" of false teachers and false teachings out there. I have found that a man's morality will dictate his theology. That person will embrace a theology that allows for and accepts his morality. Those who reject the truth pick a false teaching that appeals to them and allow themselves to be deceived by it. The end result is the same. Death and hell without the Lord Jesus as Saviour.

But the Bible continues to give warning after warning. Do not allow yourself to be deceived and enslaved!

Col 2
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

How many will listen to these warnings?

8) FALSE TEACHERS ARE LIARS AND DECIEVERS
Those who teach heresy and false doctrines are really teaching lies of the devil. The are also doing the works of the devil whom the Bible refers to as their "father".

John 8
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

The devil is the father of lies. His children, the wicked wolf and false teacher imitate their daddy. They too tell lies and they deny the Trinity, salvation by faith apart from works, the fact that Jesus is the only way to be saved, and other foundational Christian doctrines found in the Bible. They make their daddy, Satan, proud as they speak great speeches that tickle the ears of many and gain followers of lost and gullible people.

Ultimately, God will destroy the liars/deceivers and they will perish forever in hell. Below are a couple of verses that show that God abhors the false teacher and that they will one day end up burning forever in hell, the lake of fire!

Psa 5
6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

Rev 21
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

The Trinity is a very important doctrine. It is a fact that there is only one God but He exists as Three Divine Persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. In these last days Satan's false teachers have been attacking the Trinity. The Bible indicates that those who deny the fact that Jesus is God is an antichrist and a false teacher. See below:

1 John 2
22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

If a person is wrong about God and who He is, then that person is wrong enough to lose their soul for all eternity! All people who deny the Trinity are false teachers and they are lost and heading for a lost eternity in hell!

9) THEY PREACH HERESY AND PEOPLE ACTUALLY LISTEN AND FOLLOW THEM!
I am amazed that people are willing to put up with the teachings of these false teachers. Yet wolves prosper in these last days of apostasy and people actually listen to them and follow their teachings.

2 Pet 2
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Above God warns that there will be many false teachers. Where will they be? Verse 1 above says they will be "among you". They will be in our midst. A false teacher will look like a Christian and sound like one as they introduce false teachings. You will see them from within the Church and on TV and radio as they try to look and sound like a true believer. Verse 2 above is a very sad verse. It says that MANY will follow these false teachers. Does that MANY include you, reader?

Prov 14
15 The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.

Are you simple and easily deceived? or are you prudent and able to avoid and reject the false teacher?

10) THEY WILL DECEIVE MANY
This fact has been said many times already but I have to repeat it. The false teacher will deceive many people. They will easily get followers and disciples as they deceive and lead astray.

Matt 24
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

11) THEY REJECT SOUND DOCTRINE AND ACCEPT HERESY AND FALSE TEACHINGS
This applies to both the false teacher and their blind and lost followers. These people have no heart for sound Biblical doctrine. Instead they seek ear tickling lies straight from the pit of hell.

1 Tim 4
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

2 Peter 2:1
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

12) FALSE TEACHERS RESIST SOUND DOCTRINE AND THE TRUTH OF GOD'S WORD
The false teacher has a cold and hard heart. They have chosen their path and no amount of teaching or Biblical correction can change them. Their hearts are hard and their pathway to hell is set. Sadly this is also true for many of their followers.

2 Tim 3
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

The false teacher actually resists the truth of God's word. Since these people are servants and children of the devil, they seek to keep people away from the Lord Jesus who is the only way a person may be saved.

John 3
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

The false teacher is condemned. They certainly heard the truth and light of God's Word. Yet they have rejected and chosen darkness instead. As a result the false teacher actually hates the light and truth of God. They want no part of it stand condemned by God! They are condemned here on earth and later in a Christless eternity in the lake of fire.

13) GOD DOES NOT KNOW THEM
God is aware of the false teacher but does not know them as His own. The false teacher does not belong to God. Instead they belong to Satan and will be rejected by God.

Matt 7
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Mat 25
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

Remember the fact that God is aware of the false teacher and has pronounced judgment. However, the Lord does not know or recognize the false teacher as one of His own.

14) THE FALSE TEACHER WILL PERISH FOREVER IN THE LAKE OF FIRE
The false teacher is an abomination to God. These wolves seek to lead people away from God and to the devil, death, and an eternal hell. God has a special place in judgment for the false teacher and the one who teaches lies.

Rev 21
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Jude 1
11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

15) GOD COMMANDS HIS PEOPLE TO REJECT AND AVOID THE FALSE TEACHER
Do not love them and accept them into your midst. Test their teaching with the Bible and they can be quickly exposed as a false teacher. Once exposed reject these soul damning wolves. Do not allow them into your midst. If your church supports wolves and invites them in for services, then leave that liberal and apostate church. Do not tolerate and accept the false teacher. Reject them and get away from them.

Rom 16
17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

1 Tim 6
3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

The above sets of verses command the Christian to avoid and to withdraw thyself from the false teacher. This is something to be obeyed! These wolves are a path of destruction to any who follow them.

16) THE FALSE TEACHER IS CURSED OF GOD
Right now as the false teacher is alive, he is cursed by God. He is an accursed person and in God's time will be judged very severely!

Gal 1
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

For those who preach a false Gospel or deny fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith, be aware that this person is accursed. I don't know exactly what it means here on earth to be "accursed" by God but I'm sure it is not very good. I do know that after this life an eternity in hell awaits the false teacher.

17) FALSE TEACHERS HAVE MANY VISIONS AND DREAMS
The false prophet wants to give the impression that he is very close to God. By claiming daily conversations with God along with heavenly visions the false teacher can project such an image. This type of foolishness is very easy to spot and easier to put to the Biblical test.

Deut 18
20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?
22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that [is] the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, [but] the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

Stay far away from people who claim to have a "special" connection with God and are filled with all kinds of dreams and visions from God! If you put their so-called visions and dreams to the Bible test you will find that all of them are false dreamers. I want to repeat myself on this point. When these dreamers have dreams and visions then put them to the test. This is what a good Berean would do!

1) Get specifics from their so called vision. Each and every vision must be 100 percent accurate and fulfilled. There can be no errors. This point alone will get rid of all the dreamers and vision deceivers today.

2) Any vision will never contradict the revealed Word of God. The moron who had a vision of God "ripping" evil from the earth in a single day simply contradicts the revealed Word of God in the Bible. That foolish vision can be immediately rejected!

You will find that all the people who claim to have visions and special revelations from God will prove to be false if they are put to the test! Remember every single part of the vision must come to pass exactly and within the time frame if it comes from God. By putting these deceivers to the test they will be quickly exposed. Once you expose a false prophet then have nothing to do with that person. Stay away! If you go to such a church that supports false dreams and visions, leave! Do not forgive these wolves and deceivers. Stop listening to them, reject them, and have nothing to do with them! These deceivers are dangerous and should be avoided.

18) SOME FALSE TEACHERS BECOME PASTORS OF CHURCH
This brings special judgment on them by God when in pride and arrogance a disciple of Satan dares to pastor a church while acting like a minister of righteousness. God will deal in judgment with such a person! Here is what the Bible says:

Jer 23
1: Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the Lord.
2: Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the Lord.

Let it be known all you liberal pastors as you accept your rock and roll and you unite with false religions and you compromise and pervert foundational Biblical doctrines, that you are hurting God's people. As a result let me tell you that God is aware of YOU and He says WOE! Now whenever God uses a 'woe' in the Bible it is not good at all. It is related to the judgment of God and He will judge your evil doings compromise, and false teachings! Your judgment will be here on earth as well as in eternity. Notice that God said in verse 2: '...I will visit upon you the evil of your doings,...' My suggestion is this: If you do NOT take the office of pastor seriously and cannot perform that duty in such a manner that pleases God, then you better step down right now and get another job! It is not a light thing to anger God by hurting and abusing His blood bought people by liberalism, worldliness, and doctrinal compromise.

CONCLUSION

In this tract we have looked at many characteristics of a false teacher. We have seen how they serve themselves, they are deceived, and a path of deception to hell for others. We have also seen that God has a time when He will judge all the false teachers!

We have been clearly warned in the Bible about these deceptions and false teachers:

1 Timothy 4:1
1. Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

The false teacher can be easily spotted. Just compare their teachings with the revealed Word of God, the Bible. The Scriptures will easily expose the false teacher!

Isa 8
20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

1 John 4
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Don't be deceived and led astray by Satan's ministers and teachers. Read the Word of God each and every day without fail. Find a good Bible believing church that stands on the foundations of God's Word and attend.
