The occult is being popularized in the world in these last days. Witchcraft has been candy-coated and made to look very enticing and attractive. People are flocking to buy Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings books. The movies are also best sellers. Japan has produced many occult based toys also using witchcraft and the powers of darkness. Parents are exposing their children to untold evils with no concern whatsoever for their spiritual condition.
In this tract we will be looking at this major move of the devil to popularize witchcraft and all forms of the occult in these last days. The devil knows that his time is short and he is using any means possible to lead people away from God and into the world of darkness and evil. It is very important that people are aware of this danger so they can take actions to protect themselves and their families.
A BRIEF HISTORY
The popularizing of the occult did not occur overnight. Instead Satan has been moving since the 1950's to get to the point where he is at today. The main vehicle to prepare the hearts of people to receive witchcraft and the occult has been rock and roll music. In the 1950'S rock music started out and became very popular. By the 1960's Satan introduced and popularized drug use, free sex, and eastern religions. During the 1970's through to the present there has been an increase in the occult portrayed by the rock and roll bands. Many groups openly professed their alignment with Satan and that is all part of rock and roll.
Rock and roll has been and continues to be a very effective tool of Satan. I have seen this example many times. Non-discerning parents allow their children to get involved in the world of rock and roll music. Over time the child develops a spirit of rebellion and begins to hang out with other rebellious children. Finally, the rest of the demonic fruit of rock and roll enters into that family! What are the fruits or rock music? Here is a short list: sex, drugs, rebellion, the occult, and blasphemy against God. The roots of rebellion would not have been planted if the parents had simply kept Satan's rock music out of the home.
Rock and roll popularizes the occult, darkness, sexual immorality, drug use, rebellion, and blasphemy in the music, lyrics, and lifestyles of the musicians. There is one lacking factor with the music. Rock and roll can only be used to prepare the hearts of people to accept witchcraft and the occult to a certain point. More than just rock music is needed to lead the entire world into the world of the occult and into the arms of Satan and his coming antichrist. Rock music was used by Satan to prepare the hearts of lost people for the next downward spiritual step. That step is training in occultism and witchcraft.
When the world was ripe for the occult, Satan popularized both Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings. The books and movies have been best sellers and are very popular to parents and children alike. Both series are nothing more than witchcraft training manuals. The reader is exposed through an exciting story to all the basics of witchcraft and wizardry. The occult portrayed in these books are not make-believe or simply fantasy. They reflect real life witchcraft and the occult. Those enjoying Satan's witchcraft training manuals are being schooled in the usage and power of the dark and forbidden things of the occult. The really sad thing about these witchcraft training manuals are all the professing Christian parents who allow their children and families to become involved. Where is their spiritual discernment? But, more on this topic later.
THE LAST DAYS AND THE GATES OF HELL
We are living in the last days before the return of the Lord Jesus. The final prophetic clock began to tick in 1948 when Israel became a nation. Since that time the Lord has been bring Jews back to the Holy land from the four corners of the earth. Israel will be first physically restored and then later, after the 70th week of Daniel's prophecy, they will be restored spiritually. At the end of Daniel's 70th week of prophecy the nation of Israel will turn to their Messiah, the Lord Jesus. Until that time they will be living largely in unbelief. That is a good view of the Jews of Israel today. Yes, there is a remnant of Jewish believers. However, the vast majority of Jews are not born-again believers in the Lord Jesus. Let me make a quick point for those who don't fully understand the basics of Bible prophecy. God has the same plan of salvation for both the Jew and the Gentile. The Lord Jesus is the ONLY way a person can be saved. However with that said, it is important to understand that God has a different prophetic plan for the nation of Israel and the Church.
Before the 70th week of Daniel's prophecy begins and after the rapture, the devil will be allowed to bring to power a world leader the Bible calls the antichrist. The antichrist will confirm a seven year covenant with the nation of Israel. This will start the final seven year countdown before the Lord Jesus returns to earth. During that time all the judgments found in the book of Revelation will be poured out upon planet earth. There will be all the seal judgments, the trumpet judgments, and the bowl judgments. Finally the Lord Jesus will return at the battle of Armageddon.
Today we are living in the days that precede the rise of the antichrist. After the rapture of the church the antichrist will be free to come to power and setup his Satanic kingdom. Today in the news you may hear the term: New World Order. That is another way of saying the kingdom of the antichrist.
The kingdom of the antichrist will not just happen. First the hearts of the people of the world must be prepared to accept the doctrines and belief's of the antichrist. To this end Satan has been preparing the people by use of rock music and his very popular witchcraft training manuals (Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings).
Do you see where all this evil in the world is heading? The devil seeks to rule the world via the antichrist. However, before that happens the people must have their hearts prepared to receive the antichrist. Leading people into the occult is the method to prepare the people of the world for the world-wide kingdom rule of the antichrist. The tools used are rock and roll music and the witchcraft training manuals passed on as enjoyable entertainment.
The gates of hell have literally been opened to entice people to accept the philosophies, practices, and morality of the occult. The goal is to have people ready to eagerly accept the antichrist's teaching and his kingdom.
THE OCCULT AND BLASPHEMY
When the antichrist is permitted to setup his kingdom it will be filled with the occult and blasphemy against God and His people.
Lets look at what the Bible says:
Rev 13
1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up
out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns
ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were
as [the feet] of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the
dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
After the rapture the antichrist will rise from the 'sea' of nations and come to power. The characteristic of his kingdom will be one of blasphemy. He will blaspheme God and those in heaven and those who belong to God. This worldwide blasphemy in the kingdom of the antichrist will not happen overnight. Instead it will be the product from years of pre-programming given to the people of this world by Satan. This programming has used rock and roll and the occult to change the attitudes of the people of the world to accept the things of Satan. Right now we are looking at the last stages of this pre-programming into the world of the occult. The popularity of the witchcraft training manuals (Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings) has changed the hearts of people to be receptive to the occult world of darkness. One day during the terrible reign of the antichrist the world of the occult will be considered a normal practice. In order to get to that attitude several years of programming and training in the occult is needed. That training is continues at a worldwide level right now!
Let's look at some additional Scriptures:
Rev 13
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and
his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast:
and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who [is] like unto the
beast? who is able to make war with him?
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and
blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty [and]
two months.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme
his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
The antichrist's blasphemies are repeated again and again in Scripture. Notice verse 5 above where the antichrist has a very big mouth that is filled with blasphemies. This means he will be cursing God and His people. Satan hates God and verse 5 gives a glimpse of the bitter, hateful heart of the devil. The antichrist will speak "great" things. His blasphemies will be openly proclaimed and heard by the world. By then the world will have accepted the devil's occult so people will agree and support the blasphemies against God.
What we see today with the rock groups blaspheming God in their lyrics and lifestyles is only a forerunner of the soon day when the antichrist will reign. Those days will be great days of blasphemy against God and his people. Not only will the antichrist blaspheme but also will the people of his kingdom. Blasphemy will be transmitted over the airwaves by TV, radio, news shows etc.. Again the mockery of God we see today in music, TV, movies etc is only a forerunner of the day when the antichrist will rule. At that time there will be no restraint and godless filth direct from hell will be readily available for all. Today people are being prepared for those coming days of the antichrist via the occult and rock music.
Rev 13
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to
overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and
tongues, and nations.
The antichrist will start a killing campaign and kill as many of God's people as he can. He will literally rule the world and impose his laws and morality throughout the world. The devil and the people of his kingdom will be killing all who belong to the Lord Jesus Christ. Today training in witchcraft and the occult is very important in preparation for that coming day! Satan is very pleased with rock and roll, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, occult toys (many from Japan!), and occult games. People are being trained and prepared for a coming day. People must be trained to accept witchcraft, wizardry, blasphemy, and the killing of those opposed to the occult and the antichrist. People must be lead down a path to be very close to Satan while learning to hate and despise God and His people.
One day soon people will reach a point in their training that they are willing to bow the knee and worship the antichrist and accept the mark of the beast.
Rev 13
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose
names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from
the foundation of the world.
ALL, ALL, ALL, I repeat, ALL who reject the Lord Jesus will openly embrace and worship the antichrist. There is no middle ground. A person either accepts the Lord Jesus Christ OR he will accept the devil and his antichrist.
DEMONS WANT IN!
Satan is really pushing his occultism in these last days. He wants demonic influence to come into families for the evil goals already mentioned in this tract.
There is a slight problem that the devil faces. He cannot force himself into a person's life. He must be invited with a wide open door. Once the invitation is given, the devil and his demons are free to enter to oppress or possess that person. Here is another quick point I wish to make. A saved Christian can never be possessed by a devil. However they can be harassed or oppressed by demons. This is very possible if the Christian backslides and opens the door of the occult or rock music.
This is where the tools of rock and roll and the occult have proven to be very successful. Families are flocking to Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings to be trained in witchcraft and the dark arts of Satan. As previously mentioned, these two tools of the devil are nothing more than witchcraft training manuals in disguise. They teach real live witchcraft and occultic principles.
Did you know that reading or viewing movies about the occult is actually going to church. The name of the church is the church of Satan. People who read Harry Potter, for example, are getting preached to by the devil. They are being influenced by the evil occultic teachings in that book. It is very sad but both parents and children are reading the occult books and viewing the evil movies. Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings have a deathly popularity toward people who hate God. As people read these books their hearts harden and they drift further away from God and closer to Satan.
Another issue is one of demon possession or demon oppression. Again demons just don't enter a person's life on their own. Instead they must be invited into that person's life. By using the occult, people are literally inviting demons into their lives! Many will suffer possession or heavy oppression by demons as they get involved with witchcraft, occultism, and rock music.
Parents who allow or encourage witchcraft to be "enjoyed" by their children are inviting death, destruction, and demons into their family. Once the door opened, Satan and his devils will come in! Beware parents, this is not a warning to be ignored! Keep this satanic trash out of your house and cleanse your home now. Destroy all the occult and rock and roll garbage within your homes. Even though the door to Satan and his demons may be opened by occult involvement, that same door can be closed. By repenting before the Lord and then destroying all occult and rock and roll items from your home, the door is closed. If this applies to you then I strongly encourage you to take action immediately!
WHAT ABOUT CHRISTIANS?
A major question for me is to wonder why professing Christians are getting involved with witchcraft. Many professing Christian parents allow their children to "enjoy" rock and roll music. Others let their children play the many occult based games out of Japan. Others approve of the many occult based games that can be played on the computer like dungeons and dragons or diablo. Some let their children read Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings for training in the black arts of witchcraft! If all this is an abomination to God then why do professing Christians do such a thing? Why is any of this allowed in the home?
Here is a possible answer about professing Christians and occult involvement: These occult loving professing Christians were never saved in the first place. They are not really born-again and they do not love the Lord Jesus. This is shown by their occult-approving actions and attitudes. It is natural for these people to embrace the things of the devil since they do not belong to God.
To justify their love of the occult several excuses are given. Many of these excuses are given in a Christian church or a Christian school setting. The end result is to justify and approve the usage of the occult. Here are a few of these arguments:
1) I have freedom in Christ. This occultism is all fantasy so we are able to enjoy this form of entertainment. We have the freedom in Christ to do as we please! Contrary to that, true Christians who are saved seek to please the Lord in their lives. True Christians want to obey God and serve the Lord in all that they do. There is no such thing as the "freedom" to embrace the occult and abominations to God! All witchcraft, wizards, spells, and occultism is an abomination to God. There is no such thing as having the freedom in Christ to embrace an abomination! God has called His people to reject the evil things of Satan. The occult is anti-God and should be rejected totally and completely.
2) Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings is just harmless fantasy therefore it is acceptable. The argument goes on to say that this person grew up with witches and goblins and "it didn't hurt me!" But there is a problem. Something that is an abomination to God is never a harmless fantasy! A sin so great that it is called an abomination to God is never something that is to be regarded as harmless. As far as the harmless argument goes, what about a hardened heart that does not respond to sound Biblical doctrine. That to me is great damage if a person reaches the state where they can no longer discern between good and evil. It is also terribly tragic when a person embraces something very evil while thinking they are doing something good or harmless. The occult is never harmless. It opens the door to the dark world of Satan and his demons.
3) The authors are "Christian". This is a big justification argument that is used by many who seek to justify their love of the occult. In reality, the author of Lord of the Rings is a Catholic and not a born-again Christian. However, because he is in the Roman false religion, many consider him to be a "Christian" and therefore his occult story must be ok and acceptable. Even Mr. Pope in Rome has given his seal of approval to the witchcraft training manuals of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. For many who cannot think for themselves the argument that "if the pope likes it then it is good enough for me" will apply. Others who claim to be "evangelical" have also given their seal of approval on the witchcraft training manuals. With such a great testimony of so-called "Christians", many feel justified in bringing in the witchcraft training manuals into their families. The problem is that the occult is never an acceptable practice for anyone! Just branding something "Christian" does not make it justified as holy and acceptable before God. If a so-called Christian puts his seal of approval on the demonic, that does not make the demonic an acceptable practice! All the occult, witchcraft, wizardry, and spells is never an acceptable practice before God. If all things were tested by the Word of God then this confusion would not be a problem. According to the Bible, the occult in all its forms is to be rejected! As previously mentioned, calling the author a "Christian" is not a good excuse to justify evil! Unfortunately this is a very popular argument to those who wish to embrace something evil and of the devil.
This method of justifying some practice of the devil is not new. I have heard demonic rock and roll bands justified because one or more band members supposedly are "Christian". The devil used that argument in a major way to gain approval for his demonic rock and roll music over the last 50+ years. He is now shifting gears and using the same strategy to justify the occult. In reality, the rock bands and creators of witchcraft training manuals (occult book series, movies, games etc) are not Christian at all. If they were these people would have nothing to do with witchcraft, wizardry, spells, and the occult! Because these people have embraced that which the Lord rejects and calls an abomination, their true spiritual condition is apparent to all who are willing to look. These people are servants of Satan and are trying to gain acceptance for their occultism and hatred of God. These people are serving Satan and are a part of his evil plans and goals.
4) Many so-called Christian leaders have approved of the occult books and movies. The Pope has given his seal of approval on both Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. Also liberal pastors and others in the "Christian" media have also given their approval to the witchcraft training manuals. As a result of these endorsements to Satan's occultism, many will feel justified in accepting the occult.
What we are seeing in the above four excuses for justifying the occult is the workings of Satan's angels of light. The Bible says that Satan and his ministers will appear as an angel of light as they spread their deadly spiritual venom. Satan and his servants will appear as holy servants of God as they do the devil's bidding. Here is what the Bible says:
2 Cor 11
13 For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming
themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore [it is] no great thing if his ministers also be
transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be
according to their works.
Notice the description of these wolves above. These servants of Satan seek to transform themselves as apostles of Christ. Many religious leaders who approve and encourage Satan's witchcraft training manuals try very hard to appear to be a follower of the Lord Jesus. They seek to be an angel of light when it is death and darkness they are spreading. These people claim to be blood bought born-again followers of the Lord Jesus. Some have big TV or radio ministries and others are pastors/evangelists. Yet they use their influence and popularity to encourage people to accept the occult and to justify the practices of Satan. As a result they are angels of light who are serving Satan. The day of their judgment is coming!
The above four excuses justifying Satan's witchcraft manuals are used to encourage people to drop any misgivings about the occult. Sadly many people listen to these religious wolf leaders and commit occultic abomination to God. Be warned. Anyone who approves and encourages the use of Satan's witchcraft manuals (Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings/etc) are not serving the Lord Jesus. Instead they are doing the bidding of Satan and they are to be rejected. Satan's goal is to use the occult to lead people far away from God and the free gift of salvation only found in the Lord Jesus.
At this time in human history the devil is seeking to bring the whole world, if possible, into the acceptance of the occult. Don't be deceived and do not allow this evil into your family.
The below verse is a good description that would apply to a family that has accepted the occult. This is a description of a people who have rejected God and have accepted Satan. Does this apply for your family?
Isaiah 1
4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of
evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken
the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto
anger, they are gone away backward.
5 Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and
more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no
soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores:
they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified
with ointment.
7 Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire:
your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is
desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT THE OCCULT
It's time to look more closely at the Scriptures to see what God says about the occult. Many verses shown are from the Old Testament. However, that is not a problem for our day. You see, God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The occult was an abomination in the Old Testament and it is still an abomination to Him in the New Testament.
In the Old Testament when God ruled Israel, involvement with the occult was considered a capital crime. It was such a serious crime against God, that it warranted the death penalty and people were actually put to death for the occult. Here are the Scriptures:
Exodus 22
18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.
Lev 20
27 A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is
a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with
stones: their blood shall be upon them.
Today God is not ruling Israel under a theocracy so these death penalties do not apply. However, the occult is still a very serious sin against God.
Not only was the occult a crime worthy of death but God gave warnings to people telling them to stay away and reject the occult. Look at the below verses:
1 Samuel 28
3 Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried
him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those
that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land
Notice above that King Saul had fortune tellers and wizards thrown out of the land of Israel. Their occultism was forbidden in the land of Israel.
Lev 19
31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek
after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.
In the above verse God warns people to stay away from fortune tellers and wizards. Those who do not listen to God's warning are defiled by the occult. Instead God wants people to turn to Him instead of turning to Satan and the occult.
Isaiah 8
19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have
familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter:
should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to
the dead?
In this verse God tells people to seek His face and to stay away from the demonic. It really does not make any sense to seek the devil when a person can come to the Lord for blessing and guidance.
Those who forsake God and accept the occult will one day be destroyed by God. The occult with all its witchcraft and wizardry is not a light sin before the Lord. Involvement will result in a person's destruction. They will die physically and later spiritually burning forever in the lake of fire. Here is what the Bible says:
Lev 20
6 And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits,
and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my
face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
As you read the above verse do you see the actions of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings? Do you really think all the evil witchcraft and wizardry is acceptable before God? Do not be self deceived! People who accept the occult are openly rejecting the Lord and their judgment is coming. Does enjoying Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings ever deserve the condemnation of God where He says: "I will even set my face against that soul..."
The Bible says that people who get involved in the occult will not be going to heaven when this life is finished. All these people who have embrace the witchcraft training manuals of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings are showing that they are not saved. By loving the occult abominations, these people are showing that they are nothing more than hellbound sinners and a pathway of destruction for others. Here is what the Bible says:
Gal 5
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these;
Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath,
strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like:
of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in
time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit
the kingdom of God.
Notice above that witchcraft is a work of the flesh and people involved will not be going to heaven! Do you still think Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings is nothing more than harmless entertainment?
In the next portion of Scripture, several themes presented in both Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings are mentioned. They are all summed up in verse 12 where the occult is called an abomination to God. An abomination is a very evil and serious sin against the Lord! Here is what the Bible says:
Deut 18
10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his
son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth
divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.
11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a
wizard, or a necromancer.
12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the
LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth
drive them out from before thee.
In the above verses it is very easy to see that all of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings entertainment offerings are to be rejected. This is not harmless fantasy but rather an abomination to God. People involved are not exercising their "Freedom in Christ" but rather they are showing that they do not love God or belong to Him.
Those involved in the occult develop very hard hearts and they will not repent. Below is a description of the heard hearted people who love their witchcraft and sorceries and refuse to repent from it:
Revelation 9
20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these
plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that
they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and
silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither
can see, nor hear, nor walk:
21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their
sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
These people have completely given themselves over to the occult. Look at the list of the sins mentioned and are linked to occult involvement: worshipping devils, idolatry, murder, sorcery (witchcraft and wizardry), fornication, and stealing.
Occult lovers are cursed people. The below verse talks about the swift and final judgment on those who love witchcraft and wizardry:
Isaiah 47
9 But these two [things] shall come to thee in a moment in
one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come
upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy
sorceries, [and] for the great abundance of thine enchantments.
PEOPLE ARE BEING TESTED
In these last days before the return of the Lord Jesus people are being tested. God is allowing people to be tested to see if they are true believers or if they are false believers. It really is a simple test for a saved born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. Saved Christians know better than to get involved with the occult. It really is a no-brainer to one who loves the Lord to reject the occult. Below is a description of the test God is giving:
Deut 13
1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams,
and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake
unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast
not known, and let us serve them;
3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that
dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know
whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with
all your soul.
4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep
his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him,
and cleave unto him.
5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to
death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your
God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you
out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which
the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the
evil away from the midst of thee.
Verse 3 above mentions the test. God is testing to see if a person truly loves Him with all their hearts. Those who love God will not turn their hearts to the occultic abominations that have been popularized in the world. Saved people know that the witchcraft training manuals of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings are to be rejected. Others, however, will fail the test and they will be shown to be false believers or tares by their actions. As a believer I am unable to look and see another person's heart. However, I can view a person's actions. Since actions are manifested by the condition of ones heart, the love of the occult shows a lost and Christ rejecting person.
Verse 5 also mentions the death penalty for those who lead others astray and into the occult. This means if the authors of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings lived in Israel in Old Testament times when God was ruling, they would be guilty of a capital offense and would be put to death. I would also say the so called religious leaders who have placed their seal of approval on Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings are also guilty of the same crime. Since the death penalty for such a crime no longer applies to our day, people still need to beware. God will still bring judgment in His time into that person's life. It is not a good thing to make oneself an enemy of God!
So reader, how is your testing going? Do you belong to and love the Lord? Or are you a false Christian tare which can be easily seen by your love and enjoyment of the occult and rock music?
WHAT SHOULD A PERSON DO?
If a person wants to get out of the occult then how is this done? Below is a Scripture that shows a simple process to reject the occult:
Acts 19
18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.
19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books
together, and burned them before all [men]: and they counted the
price of them, and found [it] fifty thousand [pieces] of silver.
20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.
Step one would be to confess your sin before God. Admit that you have done wrong and sinned with your occult involvement.
Step two would be to gather up all your occultic material and destroy it all. In the above verses the Christians made a big bonfire and burned up all the occult books and items. The end result should be the destruction of the occult items. Do not resell them to others to "get your money back". Instead destroy them completely. Burn them or rip them up and do whatever it takes to destroy the things of the occult in your home and life.
I suggest you close the door to Satan today!
CONCLUSION
1 Samuel 15
23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness
is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the
word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
Those who rebel against God will continue on in their witchcraft and wizardry. These people will be rejected by God just as they have rejected Him.
In this tract we covered many aspects of the occult. We have seen how Satan is moving to popularize the world of the occult on a worldwide scale. We looked at the arguments used by many to justify their involvement with witchcraft, wizardry, and all forms of the occult. We also looked at several Scriptures that show God's attitude toward the occult.
In these last days the difference between true believers and Satanic tares is getting very easy to see. Tares love the occult and rock music. They embrace it with all their hearts and they seek to justify and defend that which is evil. Tares will not listen to or receive sound Biblical doctrine. They are lost and hard hearted hellbound sinners who are blind to the Gospel and the truth. I have found that tares can either get hostile or use mocking when confronted with the abomination of the occult. I've also seen the same attitudes in those who love Satan's rock and roll music. As a rule tares will not listen to sound Biblical teaching. Tares have made up their mind and they will stubbornly cling to the love of the evil things of Satan. These people are completely blind to the truth and the love of God. Here is what the Bible says:
2 Cor 4
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them
which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of
Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
