THE GREAT SEPARATION

We are now living in the last days just preceding the rapture of the Church. After the rapture the restraining influence of the Holy Spirit working in and through the Church will be removed. At this time the antichrist will be free to rise to power. The antichrist will conquer the world by peace. He will confirm a peace covenant with Israel which will start the 70th week of Daniel's' prophecy. During that seven year time period, God will pour out all the judgments found in the book of Revelation.

Within the seven year reign of the antichrist there will be a great separation of souls. In those days men and women will either choose God or they will choose the devil with his antichrist. There will be no one in the middle ground. Everyone will be forced to choose between God and the devil. Those who choose God will receive the free gift of salvation found in the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who accept the devil will perish in hell forever as they choose to pay for their own sins by themselves.

PRE-RAPTURE DAYS - APOSTASY

Today we live in the days preceding the Rapture of the Church. The Bible tells us these days will be ones of growing apostasy as men reject the foundations of Christianity.

2 Thes 2
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

There is no doubt that we are living in the the last days of apostasy. The last days apostasy is increasing and will continue to do so as we get closer to the return of the Lord Jesus. I remember in the 1980's if someone were to tell me that the days would come when people in church would bark on the floor like a dog and then claim it was the Holy Spirit, I would have said: no way that will happen. But it did and we now live in those days. In fact people laugh, bark, roar like lions, screech like eagles, and pass out while claiming that God does such foolish things. We live in days where there are major moves to unite with the false religion of Roman Catholicism and their works-based false plan of salvation. Other churches are obsessed with secular and religious rock and roll music. Divorce and remarriage is considered normal as most churches marry people two, three, or more times. There was a day when people rarely got divorced. We are certainly in the last days of apostasy.

PRE-RAPTURE DAYS OF SEPARATION

I've also noticed another trend. In these days before the return of the Lord Jesus to rapture His church, there is a separation between the wheat and the tares. Just ten, twenty or more years ago the tares blended in really well with the wheat. This means true believer and false believers were hard to tell apart. However, today there is a definite separation occurring between true and false believers. The tares (false believers) are going after all kinds of false doctrines. They love heresy, word-of-faith wolves, uniting with Roman Catholicism, rock and roll, charismatic foolishness, occultism, and many other forms of apostasy. Many professing Christian tares have accepted the occult by letting their children get involved with witchcraft, spells, and other forms of the occult. Anything goes with these professing Christian tares. The only problem with the tares are who they call narrow-minded, intolerant, legalistic, unloving Christians who say such things are wrong. The tares will literally attack those who stand up for what is right. The thing to look for in a false Christian tare is the rejection of sound Biblical doctrine. The tares love error, rebellion, and disobedience. The tares love the things of the devil while rejecting the things of the Lord.

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

The tares have one thing in common. They reject sound Biblical doctrine and they love error. The false Christian tare also cannot be corrected. A person can attempt to correct a doctrine rejecting fool again and again and it will have no effect. The only result from trying to correct a false Christian tare is hatred and anger. The tare will literally despise the messenger while rejecting the message. Here is what the Bible says:

Proverbs 23
9 Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.

On the other hand, true believers are very different from the tares. True believers love God and this love is also manifest in a love of sound Biblical doctrine. A true believer seeks to please and obey God. A true child of God is open to Biblical correction and training and seeks to grow and mature in Christ.

Proverbs 1
5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:

Those who love God certainly do not love the things of the devil. Yes its true they are sinners saved by grace and the battle against sin lasts a lifetime. However, the true child of God does not enjoy wallowing in sin and rebellion like the tares do.

Proverbs 9
8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.

There are times when God's people will go mildly astray. Here is one difference between a tare and a child of God. The child of God comes under conviction by the Holy Spirit and will respond to sound Biblical doctrine and encouragement. The tare however, loves the darkness and over time goes deeper into it. Overall the child of God finds himself drawing away from the things of the devil while the tare simply loves what the devil offers.

CONCLUSION

Titus 1
16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

I would certainly hope, dear reader, that the above verse does not apply to you. Many, many, many people in these last apostate days profess to know God and to be followers of the Lord Jesus. However, they are disobedient, rebellious, and doctrine rejecting tares on their way to hell. Their words say one thing and their actions say another.

Soon the Lord Jesus will return to rapture His Church home to heaven. Only born again Christians will go up in the rapture. The rest of the lost people will be left here to live through the most terrible days to face the human race. It will be the terrible reign of the antichrist and it will be the time that God judges the world. The professing Christian tares are heading into judgment and eternal hell.

Today is the day of salvation. Come to the Lord Jesus and be saved. You will live forever in either heaven or hell. What is done with the Lord Jesus determines your eternal destiny.

John 3
36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
