ISRAEL OWNS THE LAND

By Alan Yusko

The foundation of the troubles in the Middle East are religious in nature. The descendants of Ishmael have made wrongful claims to the Holy Land. They want it all! The Arabs are also in bondage to the false and violent religion of Islam. However the God of Israel and the Bible will soon put to shame the god of Islam and his followers.

I want to make two points in this tract.

1) God owns the Holy land
2) God has given the land to Israel

God owns the land of Israel and He has given it to the Jews who are the descendants of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. The Arabs are seeking to destroy Israel and they do not wish to live peacefully with the Jews. All will be destroyed from the land. Right now God is taking note on how people and nations treat the children of Israel. When judgment comes it will be based on how they have treated the Jewish nation. The illegal "occupiers" of the Holy Land are the Arabs. All the Holy land belongs to God and He has given it to the Jews.

Here are some verses that show that the Holy Land belongs to God:

Isaiah 14
25 That I will break the Assyrian in MY LAND, and upon MY MOUNTAINS tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.

Jeremiah 2
7 And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled MY LAND, and made mine heritage an abomination.

Jeremiah 16
18 And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have defiled MY LAND, they have filled mine inheritance with the carcases of their detestable and abominable things.

Ezekiel 36
5 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed MY LAND into their possession with the joy of all [their] heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.

Joel 1
6 For a nation is come up upon MY LAND, strong, and without number, whose teeth [are] the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion.

God clearly owns the Land and the Bible is very clear about that point!

Here are some verses that show that God has given the Holy land to Israel: These promises were directed to Abraham and his seed through Isaac (not Ishmael).

Genesis 13
14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.
17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.

Here we read of the land promise given to Abraham. God promises Abraham land and many descendants.

Below is the birth of Isaac and promises of the covenant between God and Abraham and Isaac.

Genesis 17
1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,
4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
...
Genesis 17
21 But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

Notice verse 21 above. The covenant and promise of the land is with Isaac (not Ishmael). This is the center of the current Middle East conflicts. The descendants of Ishmael think they have a right to the land but in reality they do not. The land of Israel is given to Abraham, Isaac and their descendants. The Arabs are wrong and have no Biblical basis for a claim for the land God has given to Israel!

Amos 9
14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.

God will protect the Jewish people in their land. When the next world war comes (and it can be soon), and when the smoke of that war clears, Israel will be still standing! Other nations will suffer great devastation's, but Israel will be still standing because God is protecting the children of Israel. Here are some verses where God states He is with Israel and will protect and preserve them:

Jeremiah 31
35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:
36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.
37 Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.

Rom 11
1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,

Right now, God is watching the nations of the world and will send judgments to them based on how they treat Israel. This means many nations today will be severely judged and even destroyed by God.

Gen 12
1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Even though God is preserving and protecting Israel, Jerusalem will continue to be a major problem to the world. The problems related to Jerusalem will continue to be a thorn and a cause of worldwide concern. Watch for an ongoing anger and concern about Jerusalem from the UN and the nations of the world. God will cause Jerusalem to be a trouble spot to the world right up until the end of the age and the return of the Lord Jesus. Don't think the problems in the Middle East will be completely solved. The Middle East will continue to be problems to the world right up until the end of that antichrist's kingdom at the battle of Armageddon and the return of the Lord Jesus. Here is what the Bible says about Jerusalem:

Zechariah 12
2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

CONCLUSION

In these last days beware that God is preserving and protecting the nation of Israel. The Jewish nation has already won many battles against impossible odds. There are over 200 million Arabs and around 5 million Jews, yet the Jews have always come on top against their attackers. Even though the nation of Israel will continue to have many problems, they will never be destroyed by their enemies. Israel is soon to enter the 70th week of Daniel's prophecy and there are many troubled days ahead. However, the end result will be many of them turning to their Messiah, the Lord Jesus. Before that time the nation of Israel and the world must endure the seven terrible years of the reign of the antichrist.
