I've heard one person say that the world will change when billion(s) of people are raptured. A billion people raptured is quite a few considering there are only 6 billion people in the world. Some people think there are at least one billion Christians on earth!
Do I think a billion people are saved born-again Christians? No, I do not. Instead a better guess would be million(s) go up in the rapture. There will not be a majority but an extreme minority of people on earth going up in the rapture. Of course all saved people go up in the rapture but according to the Bible there are not many saved people! Listen to what the Lord Jesus says:
Matt 7
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and
broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there
be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which
leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
According to the Lord Jesus, only a few get saved. Just looking around it can be seen that the above verses are very true. Just look at all the professing Christians in love with rock music, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and other forms of occultism. Guess what! They are not saved! These tares have already chosen their path and they have chosen darkness. Other tares profess to be Christians but they follow false TV evangelists blindly, accept all kinds of sexual immorality, and like to unite with false religions like Catholicism, Mormonism, and Masonry. These people have bad fruit and their fruit is not from God. Just by going to a Church and professing to be a Christian does not save anyone! Only by repenting from sin and trusting in the Lord Jesus alone for salvation is a person saved.
When the rapture occurs only saved people will be going to meet the Lord in the air. Sadly, compared to the six billion people currently living in the world, only a few are saved!
Thankfully after the rapture, the Bible says that an innumerable number of people will get saved! But in those days they will be persecuted and killed by the antichrist. The majority will have their blood shed for believing in the Lord Jesus. Below are the verses that describe the saved people after the rapture.
Rev 7
13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these
which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These
are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their
robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day
and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall
dwell among them.
16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall
the sun light on them, nor any heat.
17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them,
and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall
wipe away all tears from their eyes.
