A NEW POPE COMING!

by Alan Yusko

I do not believe the coming antichrist will be the pope of Rome. I think the antichrist will be a political leader that will come out of the revived Roman empire that we see today in the European Common Market. However, I do think that the pope at the time of the antichrist has great potential of being the false prophet or the antichrist's little helper!

This current pope in 2004 is very old, weak, and frail. He could literally die at any time. I don't think he will live long enough to a part of the antichrist's kingdom. When the current pope came to Toronto, they praised him for actually using the stairs instead of being carried down from the plane. Wow! What a show of courage! Recently, he was too weak to read his weekly sermon to his followers. Instead, he just sort of sat around while someone else read the weekly sermon. This man is close to dying!

This means one day soon he will die and perish in hell. After his death the Catholic church will select a new pope. This new pope will be a world religious leader as he will succeed in creating a world wide false church made up of all the religions of the world. This means all Biblical doctrine will be absent from this coming world wide church of the antichrist. Right now there are many candidates for the job of pope, but only one will be chosen. Plus the one that is chosen will be a good candidate for the false prophet under the antichrist.

In light of these things, below are some comments from one of the future pope-wanna-be's as he denies the Biblical doctrine that the Lord Jesus is the only way to be saved. I would expect whoever is chosen to be the next pope to be likeable, charismatic, friendly, loveable, and doctrinally apostate.

POTENTIAL POPE DECLARES JESUS IS NOT THE ONLY WAY

Cardinal Francis Arinze, who's considered a possible successor to Pope John Paul II, has denied Jesus is the only way to heaven. In a recent interview the spirited 66 year-old deputy for outreach to other religions was asked, "So was Jesus wrong when he said he was the way, the truth and the life?" Arinze responed, "If a person were to push what you said a little further and say that if you're not a Christian you're not going to heaven, we'd regard that person as a fundamentalist...and theologically wrong. I met in Pakistan a Muslim. He had a wonderful concept of the Koran. We were like two twins that had known one another from birth. And I was in admiration of this man's wisdom. I think that man will go to heaven. There was a Buddhist in Kyoto, in Japan. This man, a good man, open, listening, humble--I was amazed. I listened to his works of wisdom and said to myself, "The grace of God is working in this man." The interviewer then repeated the question, "So you can still get to heaven without accepting Jesus?" "Expressly, yes [he laughs with the audience]" (Dallas Morning News, 3/20/99)

However the Bible says:

John 14
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Acts 4
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Which do you believe... the wolf? or the Word of God?
