I recently received a rude email from a Harry Potter loving professing Christian. This tare bragged that he saw the Potter movie twice. He was not pleased about an article that states very clearly that people who love the occult and Potter are enemies of God. Here is the link to that article: Harry Potter - A Simple test
This tare was not pleased about the narrow stand taken in the article warning people about the demonic Harry Potter. This tare wanted to call himself a Christian and enjoy partaking of the devil at the same time. When he perishes this tare will realize that he was wrong!
Here are some characteristics of this tare: He is a false Christian, a phony, a spiritual adulterer against God, unrepentant, unteachable, lover of the occult and darkness and sin, justifier of evil and the things of the devil, and ultimately a hellbound sinner. Do you have people like that in your church?
The sad thing is that there are all kinds of tares like this one that attend church. They claim to be Christians yet have a heart for Satan. However, we have been warned and these people can be easily spotted by those who love God and His Word.
Matt 25
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
Above is the story about the ten virgins. To the 'other' virgins the Lord said very clearly that He never knew them. These professed to be Christians yet the Lord never knew them! The Lord does not know the tares. They are not one of His own.
Titus 1
16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being
abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
This is another verse that describes Satanic tares that claim to be Christians. This verse is great to describe all those who are addicted to Satan's rock and roll music. However, this verse also applies to those who love the occult and the things of Satan while claiming to be a Christian. Harry Potter lovers also fit the description.
Matt 7
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which
is in heaven.
Again we have a verse for the professing Christian tare. These people think they can enjoy the occultism of Harry Potter and other evils. The occult is an abomination to God, yet these tares do not care at all about that! One day when they perish it will be very clear that just claiming to be a Christian doesn't do anything or make one a Christian!
1 John 1
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness,
we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son
cleanseth us from all sin.
Professing Christian tares claim to belong to God. Yet they walk in darkness, sin, and evil. They love to partake of the occult, Harry Potter, rock and roll etc. The Bible clearly says these people are in reality walking in darkness and they are a liar! I have found that tares are unteachable and will never listen to rebuke or sound Biblical doctrine. Why? Because they do not have the heart for it! They are lost unregenerate sinners who love sin and darkness and want no part of the light! For those who are born again, they love to walk in the light! This means that even though a Christian sins and fails, they do not love and embrace that sin and failure. One of the major signs of true saving faith is a dislike of sin. Before salvation a person doesn't care too much about sin. They could partake of sin and evil with little concern. However, after salvation, sin is distasteful and the true Christian and he doesn't like it at all! The tares are still in love with their sin. This is why they can partake of occultic abominations to God (Harry Potter) with no concern or remorse! They even attack people who warn of their occultism and sin!
1 John 2
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a
liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God
perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk,
even as he walked.
Obedience is part of the saved person's Christian walk with the Lord. Yes Christians at times sin and fail but the goal should be towards obedience and a life that pleases God. Those who profess to be Christians and love the occult (via Harry Potter) do not even know or love God. These tares say they know God but they walk in disobedience and darkness. True Christians are to seek holiness and obedience in their lifestyles and walk with the Lord. All tares will reject the concept of obedience and rejection of sin and evil.
Notice verse 4 above. It clearly says those who do not want to walk in obedience are a liar. These are people who say evil things like: The occult is good! I enjoy Harry Potter and don't see anything wrong with it! The Bible says of these people: LIAR, Liar, Liar! They are just a liar and a false Christian tare!
1 John 2
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had
been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went
out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
We are in the last days before the rapture and return of the Lord Jesus! The tares are beginning to show their true colors for all to see! These evil, lost professing Christians love the things of the occult. Harry Potter is just great for them. Its good entertainment! All they are doing is showing the true believers that they were never saved in the first place!
Eph 5
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk
as children of light:
Those who belong to God are to reject the things of the devil! This is really a no-brainer for the saved! Rejecting the things of the devil also includes rejecting anything to do with the demonic Harry Potter! Just look around. All people who claim to be Christians and who like the occultic Harry Potter are nothing more than false Christian tares making claims that they are Christian when they are not.
1 John 2
28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear,
we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
God would tell His blood bought people to abide in Him! This means stand fast and patiently wait for our Lord Jesus! He is coming soon! Hold fast and don't be swayed by the latest deceptions of the devil. The age and rise of the antichrist is upon the world. The only thing holding back the antichrist from rising to power is the church still on earth. One day soon the Lord will return and rapture home His church. At that time the devil will be free to rise to power and setup his satanic kingdom. One of the trademarks of his kingdom will be the occult and blasphemy against God. This Harry Potter occultism is just part of the great setup for the kingdom of the antichrist. People who reject God will accept and practice the occult. It will be very popular and acceptable in a Christ rejecting world.
So hold fast and don't worry about the devil or his tares that claim to be Christian but in reality they are not! They will receive their Divine judgment in God's time and ultimately they will perish and burn forever!
Rev 22
20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly.
Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
