The month of March brought the start of the war. Along with the war a new plague has been introduced to the world. This plague arrived in the world during the month of March 2003. It is the disease called SARS. Originally it was thought to have started in Hong Kong but in reality no one really knows for sure. So far I've heard conflicting reports although the general finger points to the orient.
One thing for sure this disease is spreading very fast and is becoming a health concern. Personally I believe this disease is a form of biological attack. The timing of the outbreak of the disease and the war in Iraq is too close to ignore. I don't believe this disease just "happened" at this time.
However, I do not think that this is the first biological attack on the world. A few years ago the West Nile Virus was introduced. It has been spreading and now is becoming quite a threat. Each year this West Nile Virus seems to be getting a bit worse. Now we have SARS which is another potentially deadly disease. Of course don't forget AIDS. It is still out there and is still a very deadly plague.
I believe that all these disease outbreaks are within the permissive will of God. Both USA and Canada have fallen far away from God. Church attendance is down as many have no heart at all for the Bible and Godly teaching. Along with the disinterest in the Bible many churches have gone liberal and have forsaken the foundations of the Christian faith. There are liberal pastors and congregations that have forsaken all sound Biblical doctrine. They have willingly opened themselves up to all kinds of heresies and teachings of devils.
Both the societies of the USA and Canada are ripe for judgment. There is widespread immorality, adultery, occultism, drugs while the things of God are rejected. As a result judgment is coming for both USA and Canada at the time of God's choosing. All this will happen in God's prophetic timetable. In the mean time, plagues such as SARS and West Nile Virus can be considered judgments on sinful and God rejecting people of the world.
But in the last days God has clearly warned that such judgments would come upon the earth. There will be terrible plagues in the last days on planet earth. I can't help but think that these plagues are just a foretaste of the coming plagues during the reign of the antichrist and the judgments of God. Here is a warning from the Bible:
Mat 24
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be
not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the
end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against
kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and
earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these [are] the beginning of sorrows.
