SILLY FOOLS IN THE LAST DAYS
by Alan Yusko

In these last days we have lots of 'silly fools' out there. These are men who claim to be Christians but reject sound Biblical doctrine. These people go a step further. Along with rejecting sound doctrine they get angry and abusive to those who rightly divide the Word of Truth. The silly fool rejects sound doctrine and he gets angry when he sees it. We are in the days of growing apostasy where many people want nothing to do with sound Biblical doctrine. See the following:

2 Tim 4
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

These days are upon us now! Many people reject sound doctrine and actively seek 'fables' and ear tickling doctrines.

We are living the the days where wolves can rise up and gather a huge following. If anyone speaks against these wolves, the wolf-followers rise up in anger. They can be rude and insulting in the attempts to protect and justify their wolf. Others have rejected sound doctrine and are busy trying to merge back with the Roman Catholic church. I find it very strange that of all the false religions out there, Catholicism seems to be the magnet that is drawing in other religions. Of course Revelation chapter 17 applies to Romanism here. Again it is very trendy in these last days to unite with the Roman false religion. To many, Romanism is just another 'Christian' denomination. As a result no one is to criticize or say anything against the 'Roman Catholic' brothers. Rather than win them to Christ they are treated as 'Christians' already. Again to those voices who raise up the warning banner, the 'silly fools' are there to be rude and insulting in their attempt to justify the merger with Romanism. Another example are those in the 'laughing revival'. These people fall on the floor and laugh and crawl about like one with epilipsy. They bark like dogs and roar like lions and then make the claim that it is the Holy Spirit making them do such things. Again those who warn are considered to be the trouble makers not the 'dog barkers'.

It can be seen that things are reversed. The people causing trouble and division are the ones who have rejected sound doctrine. Those who love God and serve Him will issue the warnings. This is done to warn and protect God's blood bought people. As a result, those who belong to God will listen. The silly fools will rant and rave in the face of correction, rebuke, and sound doctrine. Again, this is happening today!

Lets go back and look at the silly fool. What are some characteristics of such a person. Well to start with these people are disobedient and rebellious. They do not listen to instruction or rebuke. See the following verse:

Proverbs 15
5 A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.

A person who is saved and truly loves God will correct himself when he sees he has gone astray. When he hears rebuke, if it is Biblical and justified, that person will take personal inventory and then make corrections where needed. The silly fool will not do such a thing. Instead what will the fool do? A silly fool rants and raves when confronted with sound doctrine

You can try to correct a silly fool again and again. Will that silly fool listen? Does the silly fool have a heart to listen? Here is what the Bible says:

Proverbs 17
10 A reproof entereth more into a wise man than an hundred stripes into a fool.

Again a wise man, who loves God and obeys God's Word, will listen to reproof and correction. The silly fool will never listen. Instead the silly fool will despise the person giving the rebuke. This is sad. When confronted with sound doctrine, the silly fool refuses to listen and will utterly despise Godly wisdom. Here is what the Bible says:

Proverbs 23
9 Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.

The silly fool likes things such as: Merging with Catholicism, following the latest heresy teaching (but popular) wolf, and the laughing movement with all the barking, shaking, convulsing and other animal sounds. When confronted with sound doctrine showing the evil and errors of the above, the silly fool reacts with anger and rudeness and he utterly disposes the sound doctrine.

CONCLUSION:

What does a person do in the presence of a silly fool who rejects sound Biblical doctrine? Well, I believe the person should be informed. However, once a person clearly can be seen to have a sound doctrine rejecting heart, simply leave him be. That person will not listen. He will just get rude and abusive as he hears correction and Godly guidance. There comes a point in time when that person must be left alone. They have made their choice and that choice is to reject the Word of God. The Bible sums it all up in the below verse

Matt 7
6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
