Sadly I have heard many try to justify their love of the occult and things of Satan by claiming that the author of Lord of the Rings is supposedly a "Christian". Somehow this statement makes the occult acceptable. Remember the occult is the occult and it really does not matter who is the source. It is all from Satan and his children!
Here are a couple of points to think about.
1) The author of Lord of the Rings is not a Christian. He was a member of the false works-based religion of Roman Catholicism.
2) Lord of the Rings is filled with the occult which is an abomination to the Lord. The occult is still an abomination to God.... even if a so-called Christian did the work. Think this through. A Satanist or a professing Christian could write an occult based story. No matter who wrote the story, it is still an occultic abomination to the Lord. Something evil written by a "professing" Christian does not somehow make the occult acceptable. Let me repeat that for those who didn't understand it the first time I said it: An occult work written by a "professing" Christian does not somehow make the occult acceptable! The occult is still forbidden and it is still an abomination to God!
We are living in the last days before the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. Love and enjoyment of the occult has made its way into the professing Christian church. Many tares enjoy the occultism of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, occult computer games etc. and consider this evil a part of normal family entertainment. In these last days, Gods people who love the Lord and have discernment can easily see this great evil. The false Christian tares are coming out of their closets in these last days. It is getting very easy to spot a tare in the wheatfield. One easy way is to watch them enjoy and defend their use of the occult! All those who encourage and promote the evil of Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings is nothing but a false Christian tare working on the side of the devil. The below verses have great application in the world today!
1 Tim 4
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some
shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits,
and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared
with a hot iron;
2 Tim 4
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers,
having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall
be turned unto fables.
2 Tim 3
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters,
proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers,
incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than
lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from
such turn away.
Let me conclude by saying that those who love and indulge in the occult are not saved. These people may call themselves "Christian" and they may even attend a "Christian" church. However, they enjoy committing occult abominations to the Lord. The following is another verse that describes such false Christians very clearly.
Phil 3
18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell
you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose
glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
People who love and justify the occult are literally the enemies of Christ! The end of these people is destruction eternally in the lake of fire. These people are earthly and have their hearts set on things of this perishing world. Stay away from such lowlife people!
I've gotten the odd email from people who dare to justify their love of the occult. They find it very legalistic and judgmental that someone would stand against the occult. But such is the way of false Christian tares. They get upset if they are told their sin and evil is wrong. These tares that accept and seek to justify the occult are cursed of God. Here is what God says:
Lev 20
6 And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits,
and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my
face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
Did you hear that all you professing "Christians" who seek to defend the enjoyment of the occult. You are cursed of God and will one day be cast into the lake of fire with the same devil you now serve!
In these closing days before the return of the Lord Jesus, are you walking with the Lord Jesus reader? Have you rejected Satan's occultism or have you embraced all that Satan has to offer? Make your choice and do it now as time is quickly running out!
