TIMELINE OF PROPHETIC EVENTS by Alan Yusko

In this tract I put together a timeline of future prophetic events. God has clearly set forth the major points of His plans for mankind. This tract will give an overview from the time of Jesus through to the time when God re-creates a new heaven and a new earth which will last forever (without sin).

Our timeline will begin when the Lord Jesus died on the cross.

** The Lord Jesus died on the cross and paid the penalty for sin. His one Sacrifice was complete and sufficient. No other sacrifice for sin is ever needed. Salvation has been provided and there is nothing a person may do to earn or merit salvation. There is no need for priests, popes, sacraments, purgatory, or any works to earn salvation. People must now decide to accept or reject God's love gift of salvation and eternal life.

Heb 10:11-14
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Rom 6:23
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

** Jesus returns to heaven: He will return one day in like manner (bodily and physically) at the climax of the battle of Armageddon. He came here to die and pay the penalty for sin. Once complete He returned to heaven where He now awaits the time to return.

Acts 1:9-11
9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

** Pentecost - marks the beginning of the Church age. Believers are infilled with the Holy Spirit at salvation. Today at salvation all believers are filled and sealed with the Holy Spirit. God's Holy Spirit empowers His people to do the works that God has ordained His people to perform.

Acts 2:1-4
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

** We are now in a time gap called: The Church age. In this age there is neither Jew or Gentile.. but the Church of God. The Church is composed of true believers throughout the world. All believers are Spirit reborn and their sins are washed in the blood of Jesus. The Church age started at Pentecost and it will end at the rapture of the Church. So far we have been in the Church age for over 1900 years. The Church age will end at the Rapture of the Church.

1 Cor 10:32
32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

** The Rapture. This event is unexpected with no date attached. We do know one thing. While the Church is in the world the antichrist is restrained by the Holy Spirit working in and through the Church. The rapture will remove this restraint.

II Th 2:6-9
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

1Thes 4:13-18
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

At the rapture the Holy Spirit will not be removed from earth. This seems to be a common misunderstanding about the pre tribulation rapture. The Holy Spirit is a omnipresent Person. He is present everywhere in God's creation. God's Holy Spirit will never be absent from anywhere in creation. Hence the rapture will remove the Spirit filled Church which is the restrainer but the Holy Spirit will remain. After the Rapture the Church will be busy while the 7 year tribulation period is happening on earth. The following events will occur in heaven:
- In heaven the Church goes through the Beama judgment seat. This is a rewards judgment where God gives rewards and crowns to His blood bought saints
- Marriage supper of the Lamb. The Church is the bride of the Lord Jesus and there will be a celebration in heaven.

** Sealing of the 144,000 Jews. Since the Church is now in heaven the nation of Israel still has to go through the 70th week of Daniel's prophecy. A total of 144,000 Jewish people from the 12 tribes of Israel will be sealed by God. They will witness on earth and win an innumerable number of souls to the Lord Jesus.

Rev 7:2-4
2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

** Rise of the antichrist. With the Church removed from earth in the rapture, the restrainer is also removed. The devil is now free to bring his antichrist to power.

II Th 2:8-12
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

** Antichrist signs 7 year peace with Israel. Known as the covenant of death. This begins the 7 year tribulation period.. also known as: The 70th week of Daniel's prophecy and the time of Jacobs trouble.

Dan 9:27
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

** During this 7 year period God judges the earth. The judgments of the book of Revelation are poured out on the earth. These judgments are: The 7 seals, the 7 trumpets, and the 7 bowls of the wrath of God. During this 7 year period the following judgments will hit planet earth:

Seal judgments:
-1st Seal: White horse (Antichrist) to conquer
-2nd Seal: Wars on earth
-3rd Seal: Worldwide economic troubles
-4th Seal: Death released. 1/4 of the worlds population to die by plagues, disease, beasts of the earth etc.
-5th Seal: Persecution and killing of God's people worldwide
-6th Seal: Massive earthquake
-7th Seal: Silence then the 7 trumpet judgments

Trumpet judgments
-1st Trumpet: Hail, fire, and blood. 1/3 all grass and trees burned up
-2nd Trumpet: Great mountain hits sea. 1/3 all ocean becomes blood. 1/3 all sea life dies and 1/3 all ships destroyed.
-3rd Trumpet: Wormwood star hits earth. 1/3 all freshwater poisoned.
-4th Trumpet: 1/3 of sun and moon darkened
-5th Trumpet: locust beasts that sting and torment men loosed from the pit
-6th Trumpet: demons released and 200 million Eastern army kills 1/3 of the world's population
-7th Trumpet: Cries from heaven and 7 bowl judgments to be released on earth

Bowl Judgments:
-1st Bowl: Terrible and painful sores break out on all who worship beast
-2nd Bowl: Entire ocean becomes blood. All sea life dies
-3rd Bowl: Fresh water becomes blood. No more fresh drinking water
-4th Bowl: Sun increased in heat and scorches and burns people
-5th Bowl: Supernatural darkness on earth
-6th Bowl: Great Eastern army heads toward Armageddon in the Middle East for the final battle
-7th Bowl: Babylon destroyed, massive earthquakes, and 100 pound hailstones devastate earth.

** Abomination of desolation. This event occurs exactly 3 1/2 years after the antichrist signs his peace deal with Israel. The antichrist goes into the rebuilt temple in Jerusalem and there claims to be God. He desecrates the temple as he demands worship from all who dwell on the earth. The mark of the beast is applied where no one can buy and sell without this mark. The only way to get this mark is to worship the antichrist. Those who accept the mark (666) will perish forever in the lake of fire. Their fate is sealed.

Matt 24:15-19
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

Rev 14:9-11
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

** Russian invasion of Israel.
There are many speculations as to the exact timing of the Russian invasion. Some believe it will occur before the rapture. Others believe it will occur during the 7 year tribulation period. Myself I lean for the war to be a early part of the battle of Armageddon during the 7 year tribulation period.

Right now Russia is arming itself as well as her allies. A huge army will be formed and will one day attack the nation of Israel. I believe this attack will occur near the end of the seven year period. It will probably be one of the battles associated with the battle of Armageddon. Why do I lean to the end of the seven year period for the timing? Well Scriptures state that Israel would be burning the weapons of this war for seven years and would not touch the trees of the woods during that time.

Ezek:39
9: And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:
10: So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.

If the invasion happened before the seven year period then there would be no need to preserve the trees. During the trumpet and bowl judgments in Revelation all the trees (and greenery) will be burned up. So there is really no reason to preserve the trees if the invasion occurred before the seven year period. Why preserve the trees if they are going to be burned up during the trumpet and bowl judgments later?... think about it... However if the invasion occurred near the end of the tribulation period, things are different. The trees have already been burned and the forest needs time to recover. When Israel burns the weapons for seven years the trees/forest will have that needed time of recovery. This also means they will be burning used Russian weapons into the time of the Kingdom. So what... it still gives time for the forests to recover.

** Battle of Armageddon. This is the final battle. The leaders of the world and the antichrist meet in Israel to fight the battle of Armageddon. They first come to fight each other but as the Lord Jesus returns they fight against Him. They are all destroyed and the land is filled with the blood of wicked men. A common misconception of the unsaved is that Armageddon is the 'end of the world'. Well the good news is that the world will never end! Instead the Lord Jesus will return to planet earth. Armageddon does not mean the end of the world, but rather it means the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus will return and He will set up His Kingdom on earth.

** Return of Jesus. At this point in history the Lord Jesus will return bodily and physically to earth. Jesus returns at the climax of the battle of Armageddon. He will come with His blood-bought saints. Here is a description of that event from the Bible:

Rev 19
11: And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12: His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13: And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14: And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15: And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16: And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. 17: And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 18: That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. 19: And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. 20: And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21: And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

** Antichrist and false prophet thrown bodily and alive into the lake of fire. The antichrist and his helper, the false prophet have already been judged by God. When the Lord Jesus returns they will be grabbed and thrown into the lake of fire. Game over for them! They had their time of destruction on the earth and now an eternity of torment awaits them in the lake of fire.

Rev 19
20: And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

** Devil bound for 1000 years.
Rev 20
1: And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2: And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3: And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

** Jesus reigns in His Kingdom for 1000 years. After the Lord Jesus returns, He will setup His Kingdom and reign on earth for 1000 years.

Rev 20:4
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

** Devil loosed to deceive once more at the end of the 1000 years. There will be one final rebellion at that time. The rebellion quickly ended by God and the devil thrown into the lake of fire.

Rev 20:7-9
7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

** Heavens and earth destroyed by fire
2 Pet 3:10-12
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

** The White Throne Judgment. At the end of the 1000 year Kingdom the wicked Christ rejecting people will be judged. The White Throne judgment is for unbelievers and they will be thrown into the lake of fire:

Rev 20:11-15
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

** New heavens and new earth will be created by God. There will be no presence of sin at all in God's created universe!

Rev 21:1
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

** Eternity future.... blessings forever without sin, evil, sickness, death, and the devil.

John 14:1-3
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

CONCLUSION

Well that is a glimpse of several prophetic events on the horizon. The Christian has lots to hope for. The lost Christ rejecting person just has an eternity in hell separated from God. Not really much of an eternity! The sad thing is people do not have to go to hell and suffer forever in the lake of fire. The Lord Jesus (God in human flesh) became a man, died on the cross, and paid for the sins of lost mankind. Salvation has been provided by what the Lord Jesus did on the cross. People can either accept God's love gift of salvation or reject salvation. For those who choose to reject salvation they are really saying to God: "I don't want your salvation, I'll pay for my sins myself!" God will honor their choice but the consequences are eternity in the lake of fire. You see the penalty for sin is death and hell. A person either pays for his sins himself or he accepts Gods love gift allowing the Lord Jesus to pay the price for his sins.

God's prophetic clock is still ticking. Time is running out and soon we will experience the Rapture. The Rapture is the next even on God's prophetic timeclock. It could happen today. There is no prophetic event that must take place before the Rapture.

Hope you are have made the best decision in your entire life! The Lord Jesus is either to be accepted or to be rejected. Your eternal choice!

John 3:36
36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

I Jn 5:11-13
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
