The Lord Jesus is coming back very soon. It's time for God's people to take a stand for righteousness in this evil and godless world. It's time to stop compromising with the world and imitating their love of sin and things that offend the Lord. It's time to stop seeking the approval and acceptance from the lost hellbound sinner!
Ezra 9
1 Now when these things were done, the princes came to me, saying,
The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not
separated themselves from the people of the lands, doing according
to their abominations, even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the
Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the
Egyptians, and the Amorites.
Notice in the above verse that God's people embraced the sins of the people of their time. Could this be happening today as we near the return of the Lord Jesus Christ?
Here are some of the abominations and sins loved by lost people and embraced by people who claim to be Christians:
- Rock music is in all liberal and doctrine rejecting churches. It is a imitation of the entire secular sinful scene set to the tune of a few religious words and then played in "contemporay" services.
- The occult world of Harry Potter and lord of the rings has been embraced by many who claim to know the Lord. It is hard to believe but many expose themselves and their children to hard-core witchcraft and Satanism and love it!
- There is a general acceptance of the occult. Many love the occult toys that are available from Japan. Others love the spells and witchcraft found in fairy tales. These fairly tales are considered cute and fantasy so the occult, spells, and witchcraft is ignored.
- Sexual immorality which is fornication. This is sex before marriage. Today lost people love to live together before marriage and engage in immoral sexual relations. This is also happening with some of those who profess to be Christian. This ought not to be happening, but it is!
- Adultery is not being faithful to marriage vows. Lost people get tired of their marriage partner and seek other immoral experiences. Sadly, this also happens within professing Christians. Many reason it must be OK because of all the favorable exposures in the movies and TV.
- Tolerance and acceptance of the sin of homosexuality. Satan has now legalized sodomy and it is being pushed - big time - on TV and in the movies. As time goes on many more will accept this behaviour as normal. Sadly, already there are professing Christian churches that will marry sodomites and invite their influence into their membership.
All the above is happening in the world and believe me the Lord is aware of what is going on! People may think they are getting away with their acceptance and practice of the sins of the lost. But even now God has planned judgment for this world and is working out His last days prophetic plan.
Conditions in the world will continue to get worse as people choose their side. Many will choose Satan and all the sinful behaviour they can partake. Others who love the Lord will separate themselves from the world.
Right now the world is heading toward the time when God will allow the antichrist to rise to power. Satan will continue to lead a lost and dying world into more sin and evil. The climax of all this rebellion and falling into sin will be the rise of the antichrist to rule the world for a short time.
For God's people, it's time to take a stand for the Lord and righteousness. It is time for God's people to keep themselves separate from all the evil that has become socially acceptable. Here is a command from the Word of God:
1 John 2
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If
any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust
of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of
the world.
I encourage God's people to hold fast and stay faithful to the Lord. Judgment is coming to all those who have chosen a life of sin and rebellion. They may experience a short time of pleasure but their quick end will be burning in the lake of fire forever!
