Read the following introduction to the coming war when Russia will attack the nation of Israel.
Ezek 38
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog,
the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee,
O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and
I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen,
all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company
with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield
and helmet:
6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north
quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.
7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy
company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years
thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the
sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains
of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth
out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a
cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many
people with thee.
One day the Russian army with all its allies will come down to
Israel in a major attack. Verse 5 and 6 above outlines the allies
that will be in that group of attackers with Russia. Persia is
Modern day Iran, Ethiopia, and Libya are the first group mentioned.
It is interesting to note that all these nations are Islamic and
they all hate Israel today. Next there is Gomer. This is Germany.
Finally we have the house of Togarmah. This is Turkey. Right now
Turkey has been a friend and ally to Israel. However, just
recently an Islamic government has been elected to Turkey. Here

New Party Wins Turkey Landslide
The leader of the Islamist-based Justice and Development Party (AK)
has claimed victory in Turkey's general elections, paving the way
for the country's first single-party government in years.
"Victory will not intoxicate us," Recep Tayyip Erdogan told cheering supporters. "We will celebrate victory but with the excitement that comes of serving our people," he said.
The recently-founded AK party won a landslide with more than 34% of
the vote and is one of only two parties to cross the 10% threshold

An Islamic majority government in Turkey is positioned to make major policy changes in that nation! This is a major move in Bible prophecy. Watch the nation of Turkey as the Islamic government will soon get very distant from Israel.
Russia's allies are starting to line up and get into position. The day will come when Russia will be ready for their attack! The time is not quite ready for such an attack but the settings and players are getting ready right before the eyes of the world.
There is still one thing in Israel before this attack will be able to happen. Look at verse 8 above. It talks about the people of Israel dwelling safely! That is certainly not the case today! The PLO and other Islamics are today waging war in their attempt to destroy Israel. Nothing will satisfy their desire for war and destruction. These devils strap on bombs and their families rejoice when innocent men, women, and children are killed in suicide bombings. There is no cure for such devils except their destruction. That day could be coming very soon!
Soon the USA will be attacking Iraq. Perhaps this will be the time when Israel's enemies: the PLO, the Islamics in Lebanon, Egypt, and Syria receive a major military defeat. Without the internal problems of the Islamics trying to destroy Israel from within, a time of peace and safety could start inside Israel. It is during such a time that the Russian army and their allies will make their attack.
I believe the Russian attack will occur sometime during the 70th week of Daniel's prophecy. This attack will occur after the rapture of the Church. Today the world is getting ready for a major USA war with Iraq. Some suggest, and it is very possible, that this coming war will be used to bring to power the antichrist. These exact times and seasons are up to the Lord. One thing we know for sure. When the smoke from the coming war clears, Israel will be still standing. We also know that the enemies of Israel are fighting God Himself and these peoples have no chance whatsoever of winning! The bottom line concerning the land of Israel is that God owns the Holy land and He has given it to the Jews.
Watching Turkey get an Islamic government is a major piece of Bible prophecy that just fit into place. With time they will also join the anti-Israel bandwagon as they prepare for their own destruction. One day in God's time Turkey, with Russia, will make the foolish mistake of attacking Israel.
