Psalms 9
17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations
that forget God.
In these last days the worldly trend is to reject anything to do with the Bible and the Lord Jesus Christ. Being a fundamentalist is some kind of sin for the lost. The word today is 'tolerance' to everything evil. People no longer have any standards neither do they stand up for what is right. Instead under 'tolerance' everything is permitted! Everything except one thing! That one this is those who hold fast to Biblical absolutes. To such people the 'tolerant' quickly become very intolerant! Look at the sodomites that have gained legal acceptance in the land. They demand people to accept and tolerate their lifestyle. To those who stand up for what the Bible says, the sodomites have become very intolerant. They want the Bible condemned as 'hate literature' and those who believe it charged as a criminal. Such a 'tolerant' society as this is the current trend!
As people continue to reject Bible truth, it is really important that the message of an eternity in hell continue to be preached. These lost people may not like the thought, but they are just one short heartbeat from a lost eternity in hell, the lake of fire!
But how many are preaching hell these days? When was the last time you heard a pastor/preacher warn people about hell? It does happen but not that often in these evil days. Sadly, there are many pastors who reject the fact of hell completely. Instead they want some kind of seeker sensitive church where there is no sin or judgment for sin by a Holy God! These churches tend to be very 'tolerant' to all kinds of sin, evil, and anti-Biblical heresies.
Well contrary to many who hate the fact of sin and hell, there is a penalty for sin! That penalty is hell, the lake of fire for all eternity! Since we are all sinners then everyone is under a death penalty for sin. The penalty for sin is to eternally suffer torment in the lake of fire suffering the wrath of God. However, the good news of the Gospel is the fact that God loves lost men and women so much that He became a man (the Lord Jesus) and died on the cross and paid the penalty for sin. All the judgment and wrath due each of us was poured out upon the Lord Jesus! He became our substitute suffering the penalty for sin so we would not have to. The Lord Jesus now offers the gift of salvation and eternal life!
However, just because salvation is available does not mean it is received! Each person must realize they are a sinner and as a result deserve punishment for their sin. This is called repentance. Then as an act of their will they receive the Lord Jesus into their hearts as their Lord and Saviour! By faith they accept the free gift of salvation and eternal life only found in the Lord Jesus. Accepting the Lord Jesus as your Saviour is very serious and should not be taken lightly!
Do many people accept the gift of salvation in these last and evil days before the return of the Lord Jesus? Sadly, no! In fact very few people wish to be saved. Instead they choose to wallow around experiencing a life of sin and evil. The preaching of the Gospel is rejected. Many laugh and mock at the Gospel as they want no part of it! Instead, lost people live for NOW and try to get wealth and "fun" on earth with no thought of eternity. Many put the fact of their death far from their minds. Little do the lost realize that they are already dangling over the lake of fire! Death can come at any moment and these people will be forever lost and they will have died in their sins, rejecting the Lord Jesus.

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad
is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which
go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth
unto life, and few there be that find it.
The majority of lost people are caught up in their love of money, love of pleasure, and love of worldly treasures so they really have no interest what-so-ever in the salvation only found in the Lord Jesus. As a result the lost are choosing to reject salvation only found in the Lord Jesus and to pay for their sins themselves. Lost people are literally choosing to spend their eternity in hell, the lake of fire in order to pay for their own sins!
This is pretty dumb isn't it? God became a man and died on the cross and bore our penalty for sin so we would not have to. Why would anyone in their right mind reject salvation only found in the Lord Jesus?
