In these last days people are choosing sides. Some have chosen to serve the Lord. Others freely reject the things of God and choose the side of sin and darkness. The Bible clearly warns that this will happen so it really should not be a surprise when it occurs.
John 3
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world;
but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that
believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed
in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the
world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their
deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither
cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds
may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
As you can see in the above verses, men consciously make a choice between light and darkness. The ones who choose darkness actually hate the light according to verse 20. To take this thought a step further, those who reject the things of God are in the position of hating God and His light.
LAST DAYS WORKS OF DARKNESS
There are many things Satan is doing in these last days. His goal is to lead men into sin and darkness so they will die without the Lord Jesus as their Saviour. Lost men and women who perish in their sins are destined to burn forever in the lake of fire. Toward this goal, Satan has several social programs and issues that he promotes and prospers. The sad part is that some of these issues are accepted and defended by professing Christians.
Lets quickly look at several of the issues that Satan is promoting in these last days. For each one ask yourself the question... why are professing Christians involved?
OCCULTISM
It is really hard for me to believe that people who profess to be Christian or followers of the Lord Jesus would actually get involved with the occult. With the releases of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings many have joined in under the name of entertainment. The problem with this is that the occult with all its wizards, witches, spells etc is not harmless fun. It is a sin so great that the Lord calls it an abomination.
Deut 18
10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son
or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination,
or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.
11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard,
or a necromancer.
12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD:
and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them
out from before thee.
Even though the occult is an abomination to God, some people wish to call themselves Christian while they enjoy the occult. I've even received mail from people who love and attempt to defend the occult while calling themselves a "Christian". In truth these people never were Christians. They have made their choice and they have chosen the world of darkness and Satan. These tares will continue to enjoy their occultism right until the time they die and perish forever.
SODOMY
Satan is blessing the sin of homosexuality on a world-wide scale. What was forbidden just a few short years ago is now openly accepted in society. The sodomites will soon get their "rights" including the one that allows them to be a married couple. I believe the sin of sodomy will continue to prosper in the days ahead. There is even evidence in Scripture that the coming antichrist will be a sodomite.
Sadly, in the name of love, peace, harmony, and unity there exist a breed of people who condone and defend this evil sin while calling themselves "Christian". These people are self deceived. They are the blind leading the blind. After death these tares will realize that they have rejected the light while choosing sin and darkness. Of course by then it will be too late as they will perish forever in the lake of fire.
Here is briefly what the Bible says about the sin of Sodomy and it really leaves no room for argument. Verses 26 and 27 below say it all!
Rom 1
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts
of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and
served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for
ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for
even their women did change the natural use into that which is
against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the
woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men
working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that
recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge,
God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which
are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness,
covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit,
malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors
of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural
affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such
things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure
in them that do them.
SEXUAL IMMORALITY
We live in a sex crazed world. We are living the the very last days before the return of the Lord Jesus. The world is very ripe for judgment and God will judge the world in His good time. Many think nothing of sexual fornication or adultery. Couples live together and share the same bed before marriage. Others go out on dates and freely fornicate. Sadly this is also done by professing Christian people. For the married people, some change marriage partners on a regular basis. It is very common for people to be remarried 2-4 times in these evil days. For the professing Christian, they just blame the other party and declare themselves the "innocent" party, then go out and find another mate. God gives strict warnings about sexual immorality and people would be very wise to heed and listen.
Heb 13
4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but
whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
1 Cor 6
18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body;
but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost
which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body,
and in your spirit, which are God's.
For the sexually immoral there are plenty of sexually transmitted diseases. These horrible diseases will either kill the person at an early age or leave them burdened with sickness for the rest of their lives. Sin pays a wage and that wage involves sickness and an early death. The sexually immoral should take note of the warnings God has given in the Bible!
Rom 6
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
ABORTION
It is hard to believe but I have heard of such a thing as a professing Christians who advocates abortion. These individuals feels it is alright to murder the baby in a mother's womb. Here is what the Bible says about abortion:
Psalms 139
13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in
my mother's womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret,
and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in
thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were
fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
Murder is a very serious sin before the Lord. Shedding innocent blood is also very serious. A mother cannot murder her baby and be untouched. First the baby dies. Secondly, the mother is scarred for life because deep down she knows that she killed her baby. The godless may say there is nothing wrong as an abortion is just a removal of a few unwanted cells. It is possible for a person to be convinced in their mind that abortion is acceptable. However, guilt is not a function of the mind. It is a function of the person's spirit. After the baby is murdered guilt sets in as the spirit of the mother knows that she has murdered her own baby. This creates an emotional scar that lasts for a lifetime! There are other consequences to the mother. I have heart that they are in the high risk category for cancers, divorce, and suicides. Quite a price to pay for murdering ones own child!
For those who have had an abortion, the only hope is to come with repentance to the Lord Jesus and receive His forgiveness. For the others, they will continue on in their life of darkness until they perish after death.
SATAN'S ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC
Satan was created a musical being. Before he fell, Lucifer would lead the heavenly beings in praise and worship to God. After the fall he learned how to pervert music in such a way to bond and enslave people. Satan created rock and roll music. It is more addictive than a drug and it binds the addicted with chains of darkness. Rock music also produces fruit and all of it is evil. Here is a listing of some rock and roll fruit: rebellion, drugs, occultism, sexual immorality, sodomy, blasphemy, mockery, and a hardened heart that rejects sound Biblical doctrine. Over the years Satan has been very successful with his evil music. He succeeded in getting it accepted in many professing Christian churches. I have made an observation that is very true. Show me a church or an individual who loves Satan's rock music and I'll show you a individual or a church that does not love sound Biblical doctrine.
Titus 1
16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him,
being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate
Rock and roll music will be greatly used by the antichrist in the days after the rapture of the Church to heaven. Satan has enjoyed great success with rock music in deceiving and enslaving millions of lost souls. He is a Satanic pied piper who is leading many people to a Christless eternity burning in the lake of fire! Sadly many professing Christians are addicted to Satan's music and defend its use with all their hearts. Sadly, this verse applies to them:
Matt 7
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils?
and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart
from me, ye that work iniquity.
WOLVES AND FALSE TEACHERS
It is very hard to believe that men would deliberately pervert the Word of God for their own blessing and wealth. Yet these deceivers are growing richer each day! There are many wolves and false teachers who deny the foundations of Biblical Christianity. These lost men dress up to look like Christians and they are very charismatic when they speak. Sadly, they are also very effective in deceiving people. But in reality they are just imitating their daddy, the devil. Read the following verses that describes these deceivers:
2 Cor 11
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming
themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel
of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be
transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall
be according to their works.
Jude
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of
old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace
of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God,
and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jude
8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise
dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he
disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a
railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but
what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they
corrupt themselves.
11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran
greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in
the gainsaying of Core.
12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with
you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without
water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without
fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering
stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
These evil men will soon perish forever. They loved this world so much that they would dare to pervert the Word of God while building their personal wealth and fortune. They literally belong in the lake of fire!
ECUMENICISM
Another great movement of the devil is related to preparing for the coming kingdom of the antichrist. One day, after the rapture, all the religions will unite together as one big happy family under the antichrist. Biblical doctrine will be cast aside and all religions will unite under some kind of false god that is acceptable to all lost men and women. Today we can see the beginning of this false world church. We have religions uniting with Catholics while having dialogue with Muslims. Common ground will be found and one day all the religions will unite.
Anyone involved in ecumenicism is a tare in the wheat field. Such a person (or pastor) has rejected sound Biblical doctrine and has chosen darkness and sin. One day these people will reap the fruits of their rejection of the light of God's Word! Below is a description of the rise of the antichrist.
Rev 13
11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had
two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him,
and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the
first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from
heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those
miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying
to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to
the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that
the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as
would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free
and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark,
or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number
of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six
hundred threescore and six.
People who reject God will accept the devil and his antichrist. There will come a time when these lost people will accept the mark of the beast. This will happen after the rapture and during the 7 year reign of the antichrist.
Rev 14
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If
any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in
his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is
poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he
shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the
holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever:
and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his
image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
Notice verse 10 above. Lost men and women will perish in the lake of fire forever. The smoke of their torment and screams will never end! Quite a price to pay for rejecting God and accepting the devil!
LIBERAL CHURCH: WHY?
I wonder in these sinful days why people would stay as member of a liberal church that has rejected and fallen away from sound Biblical doctrine. Such a church is easy to spot. Just look for the rock and roll music, the involvement with their "Catholic" brothers (ecumenicism), the use of perverted Bibles based on corrupted manuscripts, and the acceptance of heretical teachings or teachers. Why would a truly born again child of God stay in such a church? Just attending such a place is a reproach to the Lord! It harms the Christian, his family, and his children. God's command is to come out of such a place.
2 Cor 6
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what
fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion
hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that
believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the
temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and
walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the
Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
There is no such thing as a perfect church. There will be minor flaws in any church a person can find. However, a good church will be very faithful to the foundations of Biblical Christianity. The pastor will love the Lord and seek the build up God's people and encourage holiness and separation from the evils of this world.
To God's people in a liberal church... come out! To those who do not care, forget it, you have already chosen darkness over light!
CONCLUSION
In this article many questions are raised. Which side are you on reader? Are you with the Lord or are you against Him? It is your choice and make it now! If you are not saved then come to the Lord Jesus and accept His free gift of salvation and eternal life! One must either accept or reject the Lord Jesus.
Josh 24 15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
