YOKING WITH THE LOST

By Alan Yusko

Below is an interesting article about a religious man who got in lots of trouble for yolking himself with pagans in a worship service.

NEW YORK (AP) - A Lutheran minister has been suspended for participating in an interfaith service at Yankee Stadium last fall for the families of those killed in the Sept. 11 attacks.

"To participate with pagans in an interfaith service and, additionally, to give the impression that there might be more than one God, is an extremely serious offense," wrote the Rev. Wallace Schulz, the official from the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod who suspended the minister, the Rev. David Benke.

Pastor Benke, who holds a position that is the Lutheran equivalent of a bishop, shared the stage on Sept. 23 with a Muslim imam, a rabbi, Cardinal Edward M. Egan, and Sikh and Hindu holy men. He is also the pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in the Cypress Hills section of Brooklyn.

Pastor Benke has appealed the ruling, according to Alan Pollack, a lawyer for the board of directors of the Atlantic District in New York, which Pastor Banke leads. If he loses his appeal, he will be ousted from ministry, a spokesman for the Missouri Synod said.

"Not to make the primary human connections at a time of civic, national and global tragedy would be a great pastoral error," Pastor Benke wrote in his defense in January.

This is a good thing. Removing men from authority who yoke themselves with pagans is a very good thing to do. Sadly this is not the trend these days. Look at Billy Graham who shares his platform with the false works based religion of Romanism. Priests sit on his stage and after each "show" and some of the "converts" are sent back to the Roman church. Look at others like Falwell, who have yolked themselves with the cult leader Mr. Moon of the Moonies. Today many yolk themselves with cults and false religions and little is said or done about it. We live in great days of end-times apostasy. People are falling into false doctrines as they reject the foundations of the Christian faith. Yolking with pagans and false religions are part of the great apostasy of these last days.

Where is it all heading? Will professing Christian religious men still continue to yolk themselves together with pagans and false religions even though it is wrong? Will blind and gullible people still follow such leaders? The sad answer is yes. But does that "yes" also include you, reader?

2 Cor 6
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

All religions, slowly but surely, are uniting into one big false religion. After the rapture, Satan will setup a one-world religion which will be for everyone of all pagan faiths. The world will come together under the antichrist to worship a false god. Today with each "interfaith" alliance and ecumenical activity, this one-world false religion is slowly forming. The foundation stone of this church of Satan is tolerance and the belief that there are many ways to God and to heaven. This is a great lie from the devil.

There is only one way to God and heaven and that way is only by the Lord Jesus Christ! All other ways lead to death and and eternity separated from God in hell.

John 14
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Acts 4
12: Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

As you can see by the verses above that the Bible is very clear that the Lord Jesus is the only Saviour and path to heaven. In light of this, why would anyone who is truly saved want to yolk themselves with the pagan and false religions? To yolk oneself with people who deny the foundations of the Christian faith is to give credibility to their wrong position. It gives indirect approval of these people's false religious beliefs. If a person believes the Bible and the fact that the Lord Jesus is the only way to heaven, why would that person yolk himself with those who deny such a truth?

Here are some verses that describe a thief that seeks to destroy and lead astray vs the Lord Jesus who is the good and faithful shepherd. If you are attending a church where the pastor is a thief and who rejects sound Biblical doctrine, then please leave it! Find a church with a man who has a "shepherd" heart and who is walking with the Lord Jesus!

John 10
1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.
7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
