That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." (John 3:15-19)
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."(John 14:6)
"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20)
"For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
Just look at the above verse and answer the following questions:
* What are the wages of sin?
* What is the gift of God?
* What is a wage?
* What is a gift?
* If a gift has to be earned by good works then is it still a gift or is it a wage?
* Through whom is the gift given?
Conclusion from Romans 6:23... Salvation is a gift freely to be received. Sin pays a wage....death....which is eternal separation from God in hell. Since all mankind are sinners therefore all mankind needs the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. Also all mankind needs to receive God's GIFT of salvation and eternal life given through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Lets look at another verse:
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8,9)
Here are some questions to answer about the above verse:
* What are we saved through or by?
* Is salvation by works or by faith?
* If salvation is not by works then why do so many people try to earn their own salvation??????...rather than to receive it as a gift?
Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner, and I ask You to come into my life to forgive and save me. I NOW receive You as my Saviour trusting in You ALONE to save me. I NOW receive You as my Lord and invite you into my heart and life as my Saviour and LORD. I believe you died on the cross in payment for my sins and I accept your salvation and I commit my life to You. Thank you Lord Jesus....AMEN.
